Not a high bar to clear given the Knicks track record since 2000.

This is basically saying he is better than Carmelo. I suppose it's debatable but Carmelo did average 28.7ppg on a Knicks team that won 54 games.

Brunson has overachieved and become more likable than Carmelo, but I'm not sure he has cleared that bar yet. He very well could though.

Pretty low bar.

He might become the best Knick. And Wemby might become the best Spur :o

It may be a low bar, but Brunson is a hell of a player. Any team in the league would love to have him.

I have no room to laugh, but this topic made me laugh out loud.

Knicks history isn't exactly that great. Of course Brunson is the best Knick since Ewing.

I don’t think he is better than Allan Houston, Sprewell, Melo, or Zach Randolph

Brunson is a better leader and playmaker than Carmelo. Besides, he at least tries at the defense end.

Perhaps time will prove this to be true, but I do think Carmelo is getting short-changed here since we have the benefit of knowing he never won anything with the Knicks. He has done everything with the Knicks that Brunson has done, so far.

except being efficient in the playoffs, Brunson has done that for the Knicks not Melo.

Best Knick since Ewing. He'd also have been about the 8th best Laker or OKC/Sonic player, and 7th best Celtic in that span. Probably 50th best player since then by peak.

Tallest midget (op).

47 shots to get 61 in OT loss. Stinks of a big market biased thread.

You think anyone can score 60 on that many shots? We just saw yesterday that just because a player gets 40 shots doesn’t mean they can score 60.

Not to mention, Brunson shot 53% from the field and 38% from 3.

I think your reading comprehension missed something. I didn’t say anything about capability…

Because a player can shoot 40 shots and score zero points.

What you should have read, was a player shot 47 shots and scored 61, in OT, in a loss. Not climbing Everest here, worth a ‘best of thread’.

He's a better winner than Melo, but Allan Houston was the next best Knick after Ewing. Melo was another Bernard King for the Knicks...
