Re: Breakout Role Players
NAW should be the first player on this list. Dudes hitting tough shots, open 3's, bringing the ball up, and fighting like hell on defense. Really impressed with him so far, and think he was the main guy keeping the Wolves afloat till Ant man arrived in the 2nd.
Trey Murphy's shot looks like a shooting coaches dream. It's mechanically perfect, and looks robotic when he shoots it. It's weird, every time I watch the Pels I walk away thinking "Why doen't they just traded Ingram?" and Trey is one of those main reasons. Dudes legit going to be a starter in this league for years

It has been two games. People put too much into this. All NBA players can have two great games, even 7 great games. For example, Caleb Martin was a breakout roleplayer last playoffs.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

all the knicks' role players. They have won because of the efforts of Mcbride, DDV, Hart, Hartenstein and Robinson. Brunson has been awful, the role players have been carrying the team.

Brunson's been playing like butt, but that's also reflective of the different approaches each coach has taken.
Nurse is selling out to limit Brunson and giving our role players tons of room to operate around him. Thibs is sending help at Joel & Maxey, but he's been no where near as aggressive about selling out to stop them, and instead we've been letting them eat (though making them work for it), while taking away their supporting cast.
But yeah, Jalen needs to start hitting shots he normal does, cause not all of his misses have come over multiple longer defenders. Some of just been off. Hopefully he finds his rhythm in Philly and we can really put the pressure on them after game 3.

I was amused by a Jazz poster after the game who joked about Tim Connelly refusing to include McDaniels in the Gobert trade:
Also, it's not too late for the Jazz to give you 1 or 2 of your draft picks back for Jaden. Still wish you guys would have traded him to us.
