Perk was right though. Other than Kenny and Ernie, Shaq and Charles don't watch the NBA from night to night.

I hate Perkins, but there is some truth to what he says.

Kenny Smith was asked a question once about what they do during the games in between their TNT segments. He stated that they effectively have their dressing rooms with multiple TVs. Kenny said that he an EJ watch the games all night long. Barkley and Shaq will generally have the game on but typically be distracted with something else than can be anything from a business calls to watching a tv drama.

Perkins is always tweeting about games that aren't on national TV, he definitely follows the NBA more than either of them. I get people don't like Perkins, but he at least does watch games, they never once said he was wrong, instead they just do some corny goofball response instead of debating his points. Shaq's entire breakdown of games boils down to just saying someone has to dominate, and Chuck says they gotta speed the game up, that's it.

I don't like Perk as an analyst since he constantly contradicts himself and panders to whoever his audience is during any given time. But he's not wrong here, I don't think Chuck and Shaq watch many games, especially during the regular season. I still love the TNT halftime show but I don't really watch for the analysis lol.

He ain't wrong, but who cares. People watch Inside because its great tv. Best basketball show ever, imo easily.
