NAW is unplayable

What is that guy doing out there? He looks so nervous with and without the ball. Terrible shots

His shot looks like Game 1-2 Aaron Gordon and his dribbling is big man levels.

If he’s not pressing Murray I don’t know what he’s doing out there.
Aaron Gordon, Devin Booker, Tyrese Halliburton, Trae Young, Anthony Edwards and Luka Doncic all made the Conference Finals.

Where’s Joel Embiid?

Other than being used to full court press Murray bringing the ball up, he doesn't add much. And Denver already took that element out of the game by using Gordon to bring the ball up now. Needs to be able to knock down all the wide open 3 point looks Denver is going to let him have, otherwise it becomes a lot easier to help off him and onto Ant.

Shock me. Bench guy isn’t consistent.

People weren’t saying that round 1 vs the Suns or first 2 games vs the Nuggets.

Players aren’t robots, they have good and bad games - especially guys off the bench.

His offense is streaky, but he's a high level defender on the ball. He can handle in a pinch but he shouldn't be playing backup PG.

Much like Jaden and Reid, he was getting overrated after the first two games.

Don’t get me wrong, they’re good role players but they’re still pretty young and haven’t been tested mentally.

NAW reminds me of DLo, when their team is up, they look so arrogant and cocky, when the going gets tough and their team is down? They disappear.

He's always looked a bit unsure with the ball. I think this shows a lot of people haven't watched the wolves and just saw box scores and assumed NAW was some sort of high end two way player type player.

Great defender. Streaky offensive player, today he was a streaky offensive player. First game this post season he has been that offensively. Not even our worst player today either.

I can't think of a more **** comparison. Even when he's struggling offensively you know NAW will at least try. I don't know what the hell your talking about

There was a possession in game 3 where Jokic just snatched the ball while NAW was dribbling on the wing, that was embarrassing for an NBA guard.

However, I think he got hurt from two soul crushing Jokic screens that put him to the floor for a good minute (also in game 3).

Nickeil Alexander-Walker is not a ball-handler. This is why Monte Morris should be getting minutes (ideally instead of Kyle "how did their lead balloon to twenty points?" Anderson).

He is excellent switchable 3nD specialist with very streaky shot. But mainly out there for high level hustle D and running around screens.

But as you point out, the real trouble isn't when shot is off, but when he gets PG duties. We sit Conley for rest or just to get more D, and the playmaking and ball handling takes a nose dive. Game 1 when we won, we started off awful first 2-3 quarters cuz Naw came in early and just kept turning over ball nonstop (Naz too, both seemed shook). Like really bad decision making/ball handling by him.

Game 2 we barely turned it over cuz Ant handled ball more when Conley sat, and Naw had amazing defensive game on Murray, and hit all his shots with hot streak all game.

Plus Monte Morris got more minutes and helped with ball handling (since Rudy was gone more minutes available). Same Morris who barely plays this series due to lack of defense by him, and doesn't score much except occasionally midrange. But playmaking he is a clone of Conley.

But each game of the series Naw struggles as soon as he gets asked to do minor PG duties when Conley sits. He is pure 3nd, can't ball handle as lead guard in spot minutes. Game 3 was bad for us cuz Ant and Kat barely got ball and was too much Naw and Slowmo trying to create. Bad offense.

In a nutshell, his shot can work every other game or so and his defensive hustle is immense (tho Nuggets figured out the full court press by letting AG/Jokic bring it up instead of Murray).

But when he is they 7th guy in rotation and comes in for Conley, needs to know your personnel. He needs to be strictly off ball player. Can't ball handle or create offense, either turnovers or hot potato offense after running down clock.

Wolves suffers playmaking/not turning over outside Conley/Ant minutes because coach don't trust Monte Morris with any minutes.

Yep. I want NAW guarding 1-3 and sitting in the corner on offense. If NAW is handling the ball and trying to run plays (he's ok) it's a little worrying. As said. He has a poor handle which really limits his ceiling.

He's a really good point of attack defender, he navigates screens, he's a good athlete in transition, and he can hit a spot up corner 3 at a decent clip.

That's what you want from your 5th best player on the floor. He's really good in that particular role.
