There are still quite a few Warriors fans who think we should have drafted LaMelo, and in that universe he would have played better than Poole in 2022, still won a title, and Draymond didn't punch anyone in 2023, and we are still in the WCF this season.

Re: Lamelo Ball Lawsuit
The fact that this got to the lawsuit stage says a lot
If the kid is a fan, something like paying medical bills, a meet and greet, maybe getting some other Hornets swag, and this all goes away and maybe is even a feel good story. Whoever is on LaMelo's team, agent/PR wise, sure dropped the ball big time

I am not contesting that he is an idiot.
But assuming it's true that LaMello ran over the kid" 's foot, why is everybody sure that it was not a terrible accident? Why does Lamelo would risk to do it?
Probably there are always many fans surrounding his car when he is leaving. He may not have had a clear look at the short kid near his wheel when he began to move.

That wouldn’t be enough for a lot of people. They would want a check, which is fine. Lamelo has to pay up.

Y'all really underestimating who the parents of this kid are. Why is your 11-year-old running up to moving vehicles in the middle of the night? Why is LaMelo who likely never saw the kid, more responsible than the parents? Also, some "parents" use their kids as a ticket for a pay day and have likely been setting this up for awhile.

Incident happened months ago. They are only suing because they couldn’t get information from Ball re:insurance
But are you suggesting the parents of a kid had their kid get his foot run over intentionally?

How many ugly ass cars does one idiot need?
Why is running red lights something that he's known, and seemingly appreciated, for?
I'm guessing the fan got way too close, but seeing the way Melo drives it was only a matter of time before he hurt someone. Thankfully, it was only a foot.

Yeah the reaction has gone overboard. Everyone seems to think he’s just driving over kid’s feet intentionally.

It's part of "keeping it real".
He’s driving very high powered vehicles. That Ferrari is RWD and is over 800hp. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s involved in a serious wreck if he’s driving like that out just outside the arena.
Henry Ruggs is in prison right now for his irresponsible driving of a sports car...

RWD high HP cars are no joke. He can lose control pretty easily just by smashing on the accelerator. If you gun it in one of these cars and you don’t know what you’re doing you can lose control really easily.
Hate to say this but the foot is minor. Hopefully he’s learned his lesson (seems like he has)

Because his pattern of driving recklessly and running red lights is well documented. It's hard to give him the benefit of the doubt in light of his pattern of behavior.

True, owning powerful cars are a bit like owning a large breed dog, you have to have control over them.

BTW is there a sadder pic than the one of this kid in the OP.
