I don't get it. It's a nice dunk, but it's a dunk that Griffin, Howard, McGee, and Jordan have all done on many different occasions. KG got up that high when he was younger too. The list goes on and on.

Don't get me wrong, the kid looks like a phenomenal athlete, but "best [big] athlete it NBA history?" No, doesn't look like it to me.

Show me a video of any of those guys dunking A)over someone in a game and B) having their eyes level with the rim.

Cuz I haven't seen it.

Going to be a great dunk contest this year (if there is one..) ..Vesely has been guaranteeing a win.

Way more ridiculous than OP agenda is people saying they are unimpressed by Vesely dunks/highlights/talent, that dunk at 3:55 is just disgustingly sick. I mean look at the defenders hand.. contest at level of armpit lol. Plus for 6'11 guy he is incredibly fast, also puts a lot of heart in his game and plays pro ball at high level for three years I mean that is something I can understand Wizards fan can be excited about.

It's a decent dunk, but he's 6'11 doing a one handed jam off one foot on a fast break - I don't think it's that's amazing. There is going to be a limited opportunity to do those in any game. His dunk at the 0:54 is the only one I was really impressed with, and that's because how quickly he got up.

Show me a KG dunk where his head is 3 inches above the rim...let alone ..in a game...over a defender..

until you do...you might as well just stop...

Of course I know who Chambers is, and that dunk is utterly ridiculous...my top three all time in game dunks for sure..

Garnett was a great athlete but he was really scrawny. He wasnt like muscular or imposing. Idk If I could call him the greatest 6'11 athlete though. I bet if we do a lot of searching we can find someone who was that tall and had more athleticism. Not saying I can come up with one off the top of my head though.

Tave,

None of those guys got as high as Vesely. Blake may jump higher, but he's only 6'8.5 w/o shoes.

This thread is 6'11+...

He moves his legs around after he dunks more than any 6'11'' athlete in NBA history, I'll give you that.

Blake Griffin measured 6'8.5" and the draft combine without shoes...check it for yourself
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Blake-Griffin-1268/

Same with Amare'

Jan Vesely is 6'11 w/o shoes. 7'0" with shoes...

The reason you measure with shoes and without shoes, is that people change shoes, and so their height can vary up to an inch depending on what shoe they are wearing. And different people wear different shoes, so if you want a truly equal comparison of height, it has to be no-shoes.

Considering he's closer to 7'1 than to 6'11 I'd say it will be pretty hard to find anyone more athletic at that height. Not saying anyone isn't but I can't think of anyone.
