Other than your team's board, Which team board do you like to lurk the most?

Lakers. Every year, about a dozen clueless Laker-heads give their reasoning for why the Lakers are actually going to be really good this year and shock the world by contending for a title. Then they complain about us 'haters' out here on the GB.

My favorite episode from this offseason is when some clown seriously proposed that they trade Clarkson for Cousins.

The view is a little different from your high horse, eh? I mean the Spurs are a great org. with very little fan presence here. So it gives you such tingles to sit up high and throw stones. Ah must feel good.

Lol I don't get why people don't use basic logic in generalizing the Lakers fan base. Every team has homer and irrational fans. Every team has posters claiming their team will be amazing every year, and over valuing their young talent. The Lakers have a lot of fans, amongst the most if not the most in the league. Of course there is going to be more ridiculous posters.

Last season it was the Heat because well mainly to see what they'd do after losing LBJ to the Cavs. LOL
Right now, it's the Thunds because it's my alternate team I root for.

Currently, best boards to lurk are Knicks(whenever Porzingis gets in the game, i swear there was a single page just for him checking back into the game, plus some amazing gifs and nicknames about him).For all mocking their fans get about being clueless, i never had bad experience posting on their board.

Raptors are not far behind, i swear i expect Realgm to crash once Bruno hit back-to-back 3's.I sometimes feel like RealGM is Raps fan world and we are hust living in it.Just recently once their 20th pick on the draft was announced they crashed it for like 10 mins.Plus there are tons of intra-fans wars between posters which support and hate certain players on their rosters.Not to mention, they probably have best sig game on RealGM and some of the funniest posters.

1: Hawks: They're the local team, so I watch most of their games. It was fun being able to talk to other fans about the Hawks this year. Also, where are all of you in real life? I don't know a single Hawks/NBA fan in real life that's not family.

2: Celtics: One of my family members is a Celtics fan, so I get to hear about EVERYTHING that team does. That's probably the reason I'm the only Laker fan in the world who doesn't despise the Celtics.

3: Timberwolves: Pretty much all of the fans are nice (we haven't had a T-wolves fan troll the Laker board yet about Towns yet ) and I like the players on the team.

Some teams have whole websites with forums just to discuss their team so their boards aren't going to be as active.

If the Lakers, Spurs or Rockets fans had no were else to go their boards would be massive too. Their team specific forums are massive.

Definitely wish the Rockets fans on RealGM would give more love to the Rockets Forum but it's all good.


I think the Milwaukee Bucks have the best board on RGM.

You can take potshots... I don't think anyone cares. Look, if I proposed a trade sending Patty Mills to SAC in exchange for Cousins, you would LIGHT ME UP, and I wouldn't blame you. Why should it be any different if some Laker fan proposes a Clarkson-for-Cousins trade? That's a stupid idea, and he kind of brings it on himself to get clowned for it. As a matter of fact, it was the other Laker fans who were clowning him the hardest for that post.

As you know, the Lakers have a TON of bandwagoners from all across the world, so it's to be expected that they're going to say more stupid stuff than the bandwagoners from most other fanbases.

I think the real Laker fans on this board are some of the best RealGM has to offer. People like you and Slava and Sofa King and PockyCandy and snaquille are some of the most interesting posters on this site. True Laker fans are some of the most knowledgeable hoops fans I know.

But I'm a Spurs fan and we have a rivalry, so of course I'm going to enjoy it whenever one of y'all's silly bandwagoners says something dumb.

I don't have anything to add to your board discussion, but I am actually surprised/mildy disappointed the Spurs board isn't more active (of course it is the off season). I seem to bump into a surprising amount of Spurs fans around where I live (Pittsburgh doesn't have any loyalties as far as basketball goes - closest cities are fairly well hated in sports due to NFL/NHL/MLB). I should tell them all to sign up for RealGM, but then I might out myself on one of the few remaining accounts that people don't know about IRL.

Raps forum is pretty damn entertaining when they lose though. Few things were funnier (sorry, Raps fans) than reading their post game threads during that Wizards series

Ha ha... yeah, it's disappointing to me, too. There are a handful of good posters on the Spurs board, but it's definitely not very active. To tell the truth, I actually forget to even go there most of the time, since the GB is where all the action is.

I have to make myself post on the gameday boards there, just because I feel guilty if I post on the GB gamedays but not the Spurs gamedays. Ha ha.

Spurstalk.com will make you think a lot less of Spurs fans. The average age there must be like 13. Spurs fans I've encountered in real life are great, but that board is horrendous.
