What did the Nets do aside from change address and add Joe Johnson? The Mavs improved their roster at almost every position.

I can see Dallas winning between 50 and 56 games and Brooklyn playing .500 ball at best.

Dallas really has no sizeable physical interior defender that can bother Lopez. Elton Brand is just too short and too old at this point to deter Lopez (there was a shot that Lopez took yesterday near that basket that Brand went up for a black and his hand only reached Lopez's elbow) and neither Nowitzki nor Kaman are the type to actually play him hard. Lopez can do pretty much whatever he wants against that front court...and he's proving it.

Haywood I'm surprised since Haywood actually does play physical. Mahinmi really is more of a PF. Just from watching games, Lopez seems to have a harder time when the opposing player plays him physical. Still he's a great scorer in the paint area no doubt just saying that against guys like what Dallas has had to trot out it just feeds right into Lopez's dominance.

love how there was so much of this "all they did was add joe johnson" stuff in the offseason. ignoring that lopez missed the entire year and gerald wallace played just 16 games for us.

He's a monster against us. Dominates us both with size/strength as well as with skill and savvy. We had no answers for him or Deron and Blatche just destroyed Dirk in the first half too. I couldnt even tell Joe Johnson was in the game and if Crash wasnt physically mauling Mayo on the break I wouldnt have noticed him either. But it just didnt matter. Lopez and Deron were that good.

I have to eat some crow with Joe too. Luckily he's big enough not to rub our faces in it too much, I hope.
