Deng has been limited due to a nagging achilles injury. We'll be better. This ADHD Generation wants results asap. Not always how it works....

Cleveland have had more golden handshakes than any team in recent decades.. and failed. Now they need to take their failure on the chin and absorb the next 5 years of mediocrity they've got coming their way.

I feel like Kyrie and Trystan were good picks. Waiters is okay relative to the draft class (I would've gone Drummond or Barnes) because Kyrie is clearly a scoring guard as is Waiters and considering Waiters wasn't the clear BPA it would've been better to draft for need like Drummond at C or Barnes at SF. TLDR: Cleveland should've come out of the last 2 drafts with either Drummond or Noel.

maybe my memory is off but cle could have traded down and still drafted most of those players.

i also think most of those guys would be much better on other teams .

Can't trade down unless somebody trades up. Who wanted to trade up in 2012 or 2013? Who were they trading up for?

Come on, man. Those drafts were **** with zero margin for error. In most drafts, if you have the #4 pick, you can choose any of 6 or 8 guys that would be solid players. In 2011, 2012, and 2013, the Cavs had to find like one guy. You can sit there and take the easy way out and say they failed or you can analyze it a lot deeper and say they were screwed by getting bad at the wrong time with some horrible drafts.

Guys like Valancunias and Barnes and Oladipo-- the guys people think they should have taken--- aren't even all stars and never will be. The Cavs "best case scenario" team that everybody talks about wouldn't win 30 games.

The Deng trade was awful?

They gave up nothing for Deng other than a highly protected pick that will end up being a 2nd rounder. Free Deng isn't better than nothing? You don't think a Deng rental is worth a 2017 2nd round pick?

So trading Jon Leuer to Memphis for a 1st round pick that is guaranteed to be between 6 and 15. What grade do we give that one?

It's kinda sad that a team like Boston is able to rebuild faster than this Cleveland team. I can see Boston go on a roll an win multiple games in a row (then lose some) and still clinch a playoff spot.

The Cavs are imho too inconsistent to even get close to that 8 seed.
