He told the coach that blake was making him nervous when diving after all those loose balls around his legs.

That, and the Heat play Joel Anthony a lot whose only reason to be on the floor is to defend guys like Blake and Amare. Bosh probably guarded him while Z was in the game.

Yeah, okay. It's much more likely that Blake has the flu or caught wind of a sick child who was rooting for the Heat than it is somebody "shuts him down".

What about the fact that the Heat give up 2.1 more points per possession when he's off the floor?

http://www.82games.com/1011/10MIA11.HTM#onoff

Or that he holds opposing power forwards and centers to a PER of 13.7 and 11.2 per 48

http://www.82games.com/1011/10MIA11.HTM#bypos

Or that he has a Defensive Rating of 102

http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... hch01.html

By any defensive measure he's been fantastic for the Heat this season. But yeah, he's not going to block a guy into the third row or slam anyone to the ground, I'll give you that.

I'll give you a comparison since you're a Bulls fan. You guys can agree by and large Boozer is not a very good defensive player I think. Yet I'd say we can all agree he's more physical than Bosh. The main problem with Boozer is his awareness, its terrible. He lets guys blow by him without noticing what's going on, does not play good team defense.

Bosh is the opposite, he's got amazing awareness on that end of the floor and is very much in sync with the other 4 guys.

Chris Bosh is just developing a perimeter game away from challenging Duncan as the greatest PF of all time.

Oh... My.... God....

-2.1 POINTS WHEN HE'S NOT ON THE COURT?

With the Heat's killer bench bigs HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?

BOSH DPOY!

i'd say he's easily the 2nd most important player on the team after LeBron (wade is still a fantastic player but he's easily replaceable)

A top 5 player in the league easily replaceable? By whom, may I ask?

any scoring guard would be able to perform just as well playing next to LeBron and Bosh. someone like jamal crawford.

I would agree that he is the 2nd most important player on the Heat, although Wade isn't going to be an easy move in the next couple seasons. I can see a Wade trade in a season or two although with the restructuring of the salary cap I have a hard time seeing Wade moved with his current contract.

Eventually I'd like to see Wade moved for either Chris Paul or Dwight Howard in a sign and trade. LeBron will probably want him moved eventually too (I'm sure he doesn't want Wade to finish his Heat tenure with more championships than him).

DPOY? DPOD; defensive player of the decade. Tim_Hardawayy can present him with the award.

The sarcasm in this thread is hilarous guys. No seriously, just amazing.

I get that everyone thinks he's a pussy, but he's also a good defensive player. I don't think anyone is calling him DPOY or the best big in the league or anything like that, unless that was the OP's intent. But if the OP was just trying to point out Bosh isn't horrible like the perception on this board paints him to be, then I'd agree.

congrats he "shut down" a rookie for 5 possessions. lets see him out rebound landry fields next time and he'll be suddenly declared a great rebounder. Chris bosh: where comparisons to rookies for 5 short posessions happens
