Especially when they get to the playoffs.

Well as I said in the now locked thread, with so many variables in the air, as a bball fan it'll be exciting to follow this dramatic thread throughout the year. It'll also be interesting to see how the new CBA will affect future transactions (as it no doubt did here) and to what extent parity will be achieved (arguable as to the extent to which it did here, though I think OKC did well in comparison to similar scenarios in the past. Houston no doubt improved in talent, though it's yet to be determined whether or not it was wise for them to have given up what they did).

So, now that it's come out that OKC was also in talks with the Warriors and Jazz, who thinks that the Thunder should've pulled off a trade for some of Utah's young bigs (or Millsap) or Klay Thompson + filler instead of what they got? Will they be able to shift some of those picks for something useful? Once Martin expires, who will they pursue in free agency?

OKC would probably prefer to use up that cap space for rookies, unless the Raps get either a top 3 pick or sneak in as an 8th seed.

Morey mentioned today at Harden's introduction that the Thunder contacted all teams, so it isn't like anyone was taken by surprise (unlike all of us fans).

What we have to consider here is not only what some teams would give up, but who would be willing to sign Harden to that extension. I'm guessing that the latter part knocked a few teams out of contention.

I'm believe Harden will flourish in a high usage role. I'm thinking 20-6-5, with room for improvement.

Also, the big trouble in little china reference made my day.

If by "suck" you mean "one of the greatest achievements of American Cinema" then yes, I agree with you.

But we are getting off topic. This is the Offical James Harden Thread.

...and I officially think that James Harden would acknowledge the sheer awesomeness of Big Trouble in Little China.

And that he will transition into the starting role well, seeing as how he is already a "finisher."
