If I was a real net fan, I'd hate the knicks too. It must be hard hearing knick chants in your own building.

So? He had two bad games against the nets. Why is that important?

This is where I'm supposed to simply insert a facepalm dot jpg...

Just out of curiosity, have you ever visited either the Knicks or Nets Boards?

Because on your board there are pretty much literally 2 to 3 uninstigated Nets threads every week where even the ones that are ignored go at least 3 pages and the popular ones go 10 to 15.

There's at least a thread a month started about something a Knicks fan Nets Board lurker took to heart.

Sure we talk about your team here and there, most of us don't like your team at all, but there is maybe 1 or 2 threads a season started on your team and it's usually something thread worthy and relevant.

Knicks fans have an even bigger complex by far and then try to constantly push all that analogy nonsense about we're the Mets and you're the Yankees, etc., but the truth is, we've both been the Mets so far. If anything we're the Mets and you guys are the Jets.

No no no! We're the Yankees, you're lower than the mets. Even if you win a chip, New York will always be a knick town.

It also must be hard for Knicks fan to hear the BROOKLYN chants in MSG as the clock hits 0:00 and the Nets walk off the court with a Win.

Once the game was over, “BROOK-LYN!” chants filled Madison Square Garden.

Also, there were a couple times when Melo was at the line late in the game when you heard distinct booing.

Knicks still found a way to come back through this but continued to have trouble creating shots without Felton and they were 29% from FG...

Nets had like 20 turnovers and were shooting lights out. Still it was close today...It's a weak loss, nothing serious

what is wrong with you people??...the Nets shot 42 % from the floor overall...how is that shooting lights out
also you could say the Nets had 20 turnovers and you still lost.

Odd thing to say, since there were "Brooklyn" chants in MSG at the end of the game tonight.

The Yankees actually win though...the Knicks don't.

The Knicks are more famous for getting lit up by opposing team's players than actually being good.

Hurts just as much as when my fellow cowboys fans invade a stadium and get killed on the field.

Keep clinging to that for 2 decades. It's VERY fullfilling, trust me.

Lol. I walk through new York everyday and see more people repping Brooklyn gear than knicks. And this is only after three months of the nets being in ny.

Truth is whatever team wins will get the love.

Like three people chanting? I saw the game, I didn't even hear those chants, but if you say so, fine.

Are you really going to compare fan-bases in NY? Really?

what a big deal considering you missed my other points...The Nets were lights out from 3-point land, see my bullet point.

Also, why are the Nets fans acting like they won a playoff series after the win?

WTH? No Nets fan is acting like anything, we're responding to the gloating the Knicks have done all season, and the weird bitching that's going on by Knicks fans after the loss, claiming this was a "flawed win" ( , GTFO of here with that nonsense).

Do you even see the title of this thread?

And you failed to include a bullet point for the incredibly biased officiating that was gifting calls to the Knicks all night long.

Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Rangers, Knicks are ingrained in NY. The nets mean **** to NY.

Who here was comparing fan bases? I think every Nets fan can acknowledge the Knicks fan base trumps the Nets by a large margin. After all the Knicks have been around since the 40's and the Nets are a brand new team.

You'd like to think so, but the reality is that the Yankees are in their own tier, and then there's everyone else.

No no no! We're the Yankees, you're lower than the mets. Even if you win a chip, New York will always be a knick town.

You're probably young or you'd remember a couple periods of a little over a half decade when New York City was a Mets town.

Also, you guys who use that analogy don't even get why it's so flawed.

The Yankees are an absolute dynasty. The Evil Empire. A team like a combined Celtics and Lakers of the MLB. Probably the most popular US sports franchise in all the world. A team who has billions of fans, well at least probably a billion. They are mammoth.

The Knicks maybe the winners of the battle of NYC(for now) but they are pretty much irrelevant outside the Tri-State except as a running joke and a novelty.

No one cares about the Knicks country and worldwide for the most part except a few isolated areas here and there, mainly where a large percentage of New Yorkers and heads from NJ have moved, like Florida and North Carolina. Then a couple areas outside the country for whatever reason.

But the Yankees are a marketing juggernaut everywhere. With diehards everywhere who never stepped foot in New York or the surrounding area.

And again, when we're talking about winning, tradition and culture? You guys aren't the Yankees! You're not even the Mets! You are the Jets. A completely mismanaged and horribly run joke of a club who occasionally puts together a semi-strong squad but is usually all about the splashy newspaper headlines and trying to one up the other local teams while forgetting about the big prize or deluding into grandeur about your place in the grand scheme of the race to it. Spend, spend, spend! Trade, trade, trade! Higher the loud mouth coach. Owner talks too much. Weirdo's in the front office making weird moves. Constant media headlines for scandals and corruption. Sorry. You are not the Yankees!
