Booker literally led his team to the NBA finals and a franchise records wins as the undisputed best player on his team.

Let's not get silly now.

I'd go even further and say he's the best player of this iteration of the team.
Aaron Gordon, Devin Booker, Tyrese Halliburton, Trae Young, Anthony Edwards and Luka Doncic all made the Conference Finals.

Where’s Joel Embiid?

Has KD been ring relevant since Bucks 2021? That was 3 years ago

Replace KD with Booker or Beal and it still is the same.

Ant, because of this series, has pretty much ended any debate.

Ant > Booker
Ant > Beal

I'll still say KD better for now until Ant accomplishes more... But no team in the league would take KD over Ant at this point

So why did KD leave Brooklyn again? That's 2 first round exits now for KD while being in PHX.

That term is subjective. Many have called Denver a superteam. If they repeat, you'll hear it louder.

He is referring to Superstars teaming up not actual good teams. Denver is no such team. Denver is a proper great team.

So true, a 27 year old will surely have no other shot in the rest of his career.

Wonder if you had the same take on Doncic when the Mavs failed to make the play-in tournament last year.
I don't know how it's possible on the Suns, elsewhere sure he's a great player. I'm not saying he or Luka will never get a chance to win a title.

Maybe I misunderstood your post. I meant, the Mavs were in a bad situation last year and have completely turned it around due to good role player acquisitions and building better chemistry.

Not saying the Suns will be able to do the same, they have a more difficult cap situation obviously , but I think Booker will still be the last guy they move on this roster (unless a truly lobsided offer shows up).

The super team died when the NBA passed the new salary cap rules

ChipotleWest wrote:I love how so many people are already putting Denver in the Finals. Not saying they definitely won't or can't get there, but they have a much tougher path this year than they had last year. Last year they got a Wolves team with little playoff experience and they were the 8th seed, this years Wolves obviously are much better, they got the Suns with a hobbled Durant and Booker, they're showing even by adding Beal they're not all that, and they beat the 7 seed Lakers who they're about to beat again, and the Heat. It will be much tougher to beat this Wolves team, then the Mavs or OKC (or Clippers if they come back) then possibly Boston than last years path.

Also should note that last year the Wolves were without 2 of their top 7 players for the whole Denver series and 3 of their top 7 for the last couple games (plus KAT was only a handful of games into coming back from a months long abscense).

Suns did make it past the 1st round last year and were the only team to take 2 games from the Nuggets. They went backwards for sure this year.

Yes.

Denver is mostly organically built.
A mid/small market team. Denver is not LA, Dallas. NYC, Dallas, Chicago, etc ....

I forgot. They beat the Clippers with no PG and no Leonard. Pretty much a bye

DaPessimist wrote:The Suns just aren't constructed well. It's nice to have a midrange assassin in the playoffs... but you don't need 3 of them. Then they have a traditional center and no point guard.

I'm never going to let the players off the hook for losing, but I think management deserves a lot of blame for this teams shortcomings.

Pauls going to the suns on a cheap contract isnt he?

I don’t think the broadcast knew what it was either given how long they left the camera on him doing it

I feel sorry for Suns fan - How is it possible that they didn't to get a free Chick-fil-A sandwich playing against Gobert?

Any team that build their roster mainly by their own draft should not be called teamed up super team, so Nuggets and Warriors should not be called Superteams… the super team is really reserved for LeBron’s teams that he could not get over the hump, so chose to team up with other superstars
