As a Celtic fan the only thing stopping them from going all the way is themselves. IMHO their downfall will if/be when Tatum and the team revert back to ISO ball featuring Jason Tatum walking the ball up the court, milking the shot clock and shooting fall away 3's down the stretch and big moments.

When Tatum got hurt in the game 7 against against Miami last year and couldn't handle the offensive load any more and the C's found out that Jaylen Brown couldn't carry them in Tatum's absence, they went out and addressed the need for a guy who can create shots in the halfcourt and got KP while also addressing the need for interior defense.

I still can't believe they went and replaced Smart with Jrue Holiday, a guy who's almost as good as a defender and is a better overall player anyway.

"Oh we lost the heart of the team"

Yea but you replaced him with another all star so..

Jrue is a much better defender.

Jrue is not guarding Embiid in the playoffs any time soon.

Nor is smart, so I have no idea why you would bring that up lol

Celtics have a clear path to the Finals. No excuses now.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Almost always the case playing in the East.

It used to be WAYY worse than it is now

There was one year where the 6th seed in the East was .500

The board of governors has taken the steps needed to create more parity in the league and it has largely worked.

the only team that stands a chance if the celtics are healthy and playing well is the nuggets. so the celtics just need to hope they can stay healthy for a couple months and play well. neither are guaranteed though.

I know that his role is a little bit different in Boston than other teams, but don't be surprised if Porzingis comes up small in the playoffs. He's just not that guy to me. We'll see though he had a really good regular season but with Dallas he came up small against the Clippers. He averaged 13 ppg and that series went 7, if he gave the Mavs his average of 20 they win that series. Mavs were up 3-2 and lost Game 6 by 7 points, he only scored 7 points.

You may need him to deliver to win the championship. We'll see. Health is always a concern with him as well.

Facts, but as a Celtics fan who has watched 3 of the past 6 years end early because of injuries DURING the playoffs, i'm not holding my breath (Kyrie facial surgery, Browns Hand in the Bubble, Tatum twisting his ankle last yaer in game 7).

The East is an absolute mess right now, and they should be favored over the field right now, but just like in 2022, if they get matchuped up against a team full of vets who know how to play playoff basketball, it's going to be tough.

I hope it happens, but as a Celtic fan I'm nervous of Dallas, Denver, and both LA teams. Anyone else and i'd breath easy

I'm a betting man that says the opposite is true. As long as this didn't jinx their health.

Nah. That was every Lebron Cavs team in the 2010's.

Yeah, its title or bust for them now. Finals should be a forgone conclusion at this point

the east will be such a cakewalk that they might not be ready for the big leagues when they hit the finals

I don't think so. The winner of the West will win the championship imo.

Something is missing with Boston. Milwaukee blew them out twice this season. They caught a break with the Giannis injury. I think they win the East but come up short in the Finals again.

I still think NYK or Philly will give BOS trouble but let's not pretend that they are beating DEN. That's a nightmare matchup for the C's.
