Me the last two seasons: do not cheat off of MPJ, play him tight and force him to put the ball on the floor because he clearly has a bad case of tunnel vision
But in classic Laker fashion we decided to leave him open over, and over, and over again. Still frustrated to this day, thank god that idiot Ham is gone.

Best defender in the NBA IMO (excluding Wemby). He's far more important than Gobert to Minnesota's defense. He's truly switchable and someone who can guard everyone on the floor, and man his perimeter defense is just ELITE.

Definitely problematic
** Luka made The Finals without Brunson
** Embiid is the only MVP in NBA history to never make a conference final
** Philly won multiple playoff games without MVP Embiid
** LeBron missed the playoffs with Davis
** Steph missed the playoffs with Klay

Denver should definitely explore a trade involving MPJ, while his value is still high. He’s shown again and again that he cannot be depended on in the playoffs.

Still pathetic like many playoff series except for the Lakers. Why isn’t he trying to develop a more variety in his offensive game??

Locked up by McDaniels and NAW. You can tell the length bothered him and made him hesitant. Even on the open 3s he was in his head.

I said it was going to be one of the worst contracts in the NBA when he signed it.

Catch and shoot guy goes cold in a playoff series, we see this in multiple series every year in the playoffs. When you got the defenders that Minny has out on the perimeter as well, makes it that much more unsurprising.

Not an excuse but McDaniels was/is the perfect guy to guard him. Kudos to JM, he’s one of THE best defenders in the league.

You can't afford having a max contract player playing this badly if you want to win the series.
and Denver does not have Bruce Brown to makeup MPJ's minutes
Hi Clutchie, I love you...

Wolves played great D. What did Jokic shoot from 3? When Jokic had a 3 he was generally open or could get open. MPJ was guarded by guys like Jayden. Tough cover.

He’s only good when he can comfortably shoot over everyone, which he can do against the Lakers but not the Wolves. He’s also doesn’t really use his size like he should. He’s basically Rashard Lewis.

He's their 4th option. Not like he gets alot of chances to do stuff on O.

MPJ realized he wasn't playing the Lakers anymore and didn't get off the bus lmao
