i could see a case where the Suns FO sat both brothers down and told them, " we willing to give this one lump sum for the BOTH of you, come back to us another day when you both decide how to split between yourselves."

This has to be one of the most unique negotiating process in history

Damn looks like i was correct

If you add their winshares and multiply 52 mil by their percentage of the total win shares you get Markieff at 31.5 mil and Marcus at 19.5 mil...

Phoenix likely won't be moving Bledsoe (anytime soon at least).

The expectation is, after a season or two, Gerald Green and PJ Tucker will be moved (or Green leaves via free agency) and TJ Warren and Marcus man the SF position.

What a great signing. Markieff is worth more than that, and Marcus is worth exactly that (maybe a little less), so it evens out.

Finally some dollar figures that make sense.

I see Markief developing into a PF just under allstar level which is great value at 8 million per

And Marcus is probably underpaid at 5 million per as a decent starter in the association

Whatever Kenneth Faried is about to receive is what Kieff could have gotten on the open market.

That's a nice deal, especially for Markief. Nice comeback from Suns after whatever that was with Bledsoe.

Kieff isn't anywhere NEAR the Manimal's level !!! But it is a pretty good deal for PHX, I wish Faried would sign for that ....

Checking the advanced statistics, it seems as though Marcus might be a bit underrated. That might be a steal of a contract.

What advanced stats?

Assuming Dragic gets the max next off-season, the Suns will have about ~$55 million tied up in Dragic, Bledoe, Thomas, Tucker, and the Morrisses. They also have Plumlee, Len, Warren, Goodwin, Ennis, and Zoran Dragic for another ~$10 million.

Not bad, but not great. I feel like they should have done better considering how much cap space they had this off-season.

For those who say that Markieff isn't worth 8mil a year, let's look at his advanced stats:

Per 36 minutes, Markieff is at 18/8, and PER-wise he's at 18.4

compare this to a guy like Greg Monroe who is wanting a max contract (though he will probably have to settle for more like 12-13 mil/yr)

Per 36 minutes, Monroe is at 16.7/10.2, and PER-wise he's at 18.1

And keep in mind that this contract is largely based on Morris' potential as a starting PF. There's a certain amount of faith on him being able to produce proportionally to what he did last year given more playing time. Monroe is probably the better player, but is he 4-5million/yr better? If you look at it this way, Markieff is a deal. Even if you consider that they gave some of his salary to Marcus, his potential is probably worth at least 10/yr, especially since he's not even at his prime yet.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Phoenix should sign them to contracts of differing lengths..so every time they need to renew their contract, the Morris's have the incentive to re-sign since their brother is on that team for a few more years
