JJ is the man. As Reggie Miller proved, anything can happen with time on the clock.

Just rewatched the stream. I saw T-Mac put the ball down, then James Jones decided to run for it then the camera turned to the Rockets Bench.

That's perfectly fine. You're suppose to make the difficult effort to hold onto the ball till time runs out. Not just drop it on the ground and walk away.

Jones probuly just got offended and did what came natural. If your going to leave it on the ground in front of me I'm going to pick it up and score.

The funniest comment in here is the guy who called Kosta a blazer homer.

In my opinion it was an unnecessary move on Jones' part. The game was clearly over and he decided to pad his stats. As a rockets fan, I wasn't offended since we already had the game in the bag at that point .... but still I thought it was a weird thing to do.

you play the game hard from beginning to end... not just when you're up or the games close... this really isn't a big deal but if it's anyone's fault it's tmacs

The game was over, McGrady holding the ball with around 7 seconds left. McGrady puts the ball down to let it rest, all of the other Blazers on the court were walking towards their locker room, James Jones runs coast to coast grabbing the ball and getting a lay-up before the clock runs out.

EDIT: Reminds me of some other bad sportsmanship/selfish moments. I know Sura when he was on the Hawks was 1 rebound away from a triple double. At the end of the game, he had a free lay-up, decides to miss it on purpose to get the rebound, then tip it in.

I'm pretty sure Sura was encouraged by his teammate and later apologized for it.

I agree with you, but the same is on Tmac for allowing it to transpire by placing the ball on the court with the clock running.

Uh, I don't think that guy's a Blazer poster...

So what if James wants to play all 48 minutes rather than 47:55? Last I looked if the season ended today we'd be in and your boys would be out. Too bad the McGrady/Yao experiment hasn't landed anything but first round exits so far. Oops!

and if the season ended 6 games into it the Warriors would be winless...

Are you seriously going to use this as a chance to take a shot at the Rockets? I won't turn this into a thread about the Rockets, but seriously, think your posts out before you type them. You could at least show a bit of respect; most Blazer fans I've come into contact with are very respectful. You guys have a very good and talented team, but the season is far from over so it's probably best to save the smack-talk until your playoff spot is locked up because we all know anything can happen.

T-Mac likes to do that just laying the ball on the court while the game is pretty much over
it's just the first time someone actually go grabbed the ball and scored

I dont know why people are getting worked up over this. James Jones is a nothing and thats why he did that, i could care less if he leads the league in three point fg% he has only made 56 three pointers, thats barely in the top 50, he is 48th to be exact. Dude is a scrub a nobody, something like damon jones he got people to buy into him not his game james jones has done the same thing. James Jones..... who?

Ya, like you guys have done anything in he past 4 years? The thing about the Rockets is, they are one of the best 2nd half teams in the league, they have proved it the 2 out of the past 3 years. Im not going to sit here and attack, because I really like the Blazers, but there was seriously no reason for you to do that...I don't know if your angry that the Rockets beat yall in 4th quarter with 3 rookies on the court....or the fact that you guys had a what 8? 10? pt lead early on with Roy on fire, but then just cooled down to just 23% shooting in the 2nd half, hmm not sure. But anyways, I say best of the luck, and I think Portland deserves to go to the playoffs, they have played really good. But I think there was no reason for James Jones to do that, everyone in here is saying its Tracy's fault, because we were up what 12pts? and he put the ball down with 4 seconds to play....but hey in the eyes of the coaches, media, fans, and players Jones is the one thats going to look disrespectful, selfish with horrible sportsmanship.
