the guy would probably shoot guard fg %s like 47-50%, he would be 20 and 10 though.

It really depends on his minutes and teamates.

If Bynum goes to Orlando, I say he averages 15/10. He will face constant double teams. Something he's not used to.

THIS.
He's going to be a huge disappointment as a first option...Both skill and talent wise, leadership and mental wise and probably some injuries. it would be bad, no doubt about it.

The fact Gasol & Kobe were on the team meant teams never doubled Bynum because they would be murdered by Gasol or Kobe for it.
We really don't know he would do but my guess would be 18/10 with low efficiency
I can tell you've never watched Andrew Bynum play. The reason why teams double and triple team him 90% of the time is because he lacks the ability to handle it. Part of the problem is LA's personnel does not give him the correct spacing to continue to learn how to pass out of it. His lack of trust on his perimeter shooters and eager to score is only prohibiting Bynum from actually dominating on another level...

the magic will have a ton of capspace next offseason to and could go after so big free agents to put around him. you could potentially be looking
nelson
monta ellis
iggy
ryan anderson
bynum
if those guys would want to team up and sign here next year
but i think bynum will be a 22/12 guy next year on decent efficency and thats just because he'll be pretty much the only option on offense other than ryan anderson chucking 3s

Re: Predict Bynums numbers as 1st option
This thread is ticking me off cause its a jinx. You aholes are going to ruin everything.
Bynum will remain on the Lakers and be the 2nd option with more touches. He'll average around 20/12 for us and be a Laker for life. He sure as hell won't be wearing a Magic uniform this season and on a flight to Orlando by tonight which leaves at 6:20 out of LAX's north terminal at gate B18.

Re: Predict Bynums numbers as 1st option
You can't predict his numbers without knowing the structure of the team. If you don't have a top-notch player-maker and spacing he'll struggle to average 20 a game and his efficiency will be worse. I don't think he has the stamina to play 35+ for an entire season either, and that's going to affect his rebounding numbers. In all honesty, I'd expect him to put around 17 pts (~51% fg) and 10 reb in his first season as a #1 option. He'll average many more turnovers than assists as well.
His ability to score efficienctly is going to depend heavily on his ability to pass out of the post, which leads me to...
Really? I saw absolutely no improvement in his ability to handle doubles, and as a first option he'll get doubled a lot more. In fact he looked progressively worse as the season went along as he tried to force the issue. It's absolutely mind-boggling that he hasn't figured out how to get rid of the ball when the double comes. It's like he's not even aware that he's about to get doubled. He'll just hold onto the ball until he's smothered and then try to force up a bad shot. His reaction just stinks, and IMO he doesn't have a very high BBIQ.
