One of the worst "super teams" in history. Really was just a random assortment of all-stars at various stages of their career with no synergistic benefit with each other whatsoever.

He just took a college HC position at the start of the playoffs

Would be funny to have them sit at the podium and say "coaches gotta do a better job." And then all the media goes... :uhoh: :uhoh:

Heard here on local sports radio from a Blazers insider that there's more than a little noise about Billups going to Phoenix to replace Vogel. Ishbia is getting advice from Isiah Thomas (still hilarious), former Piston's PG great, KD respects Billups... then about an hour and a half later Jake Fisher

Sounds like if this happens, it will happen fast, maybe during or before the weekend.

It buys a lot of therapy. Having to deal with Lebron and KD is tough

I'd still take Ishbia 10/10. Sure he made impulsive and poorly planned moves. But he's a rookie owner he's not the first nor the last. But it's immensely better than an owner that does not care about the quality of the team, workplace, or culture

Ah yes, notable culture guy Matt Ishbia.

I would, for real. He won a ring, so not much else to do but sit back and relax and whenever you want to get an NBA paycheck again, go for a non-coaching front office advisor type role that you can work half a day like 3 days a week with.

As a Knicks fan I genuinely feel for Suns fans if this is true. Good god.

It’s a matter of time before he joins Kidd’s bench. He almost signed with Mavs before the Suns offered him their HC job.

I like Frank Vogel, and I view him as one of the least responsible for this mess.

However, the players had stopped listening to him, and when that happens, the coach has gotta go.

It's honestly pretty impressive how stupid it is. Literally of ALLLLL the people. Ishbia is a billionaire, able to connect with any retired NBA personality at a moments notice to hire as an advisor... literally what, over 100 potential people in that pool to pick from, maybe more? And in the end, Isiah Thomas is who you land on. Just amazing.

Listening to Isiah at this point would be like trying to hire SBF as Director of Corporate Compliance.

Yep. Players didn't respect him, but also one of the most toxic / temperamental collection of players you can possibly get. It shouldn't be a surprise that KD has had 6 coaches in 6 years. When can we officially call KD uncoachable or a coach killer? He clearly just makes every lockerroom he's in a moody depressed cesspool.
