If you can do it the Warriors style (not this year’s Warriors obviously), go small and involve Jokic in ALL pick and roll and pick and pop plays, sacrifice defense and just outscore them via the 3, then that is still the best shot at Jokic and the Nuggets.

So while (i think) the Nuggets will beat the Celtics in the NBA Finals (and Thunder/Mavs next round) those teams are capable of stretching the floor a la the prime champ Warriors so if they do that i think they have a good shot of taking down the Nuggets and Jokic.

To answer you question, no. Teams aren't going to load up on unplayable stiffs just to whack Jokic when they face Denver lol

False. I said we played them tougher than anybody else last year without Naz and McDaniels. At no point did I say my team was going to win this series, or would've won last year.

We’re not crazy. Y’all are.

This is a new season, the Nuggets are a different team. The Wolves are a different team.

It’s so stupid to compare teams year to year and act like they’re the same teams.

We’re different in the playoffs because Naz and McDaniels are healthy.

You owe me an apology. :)

Nuggets have kicked it up another gear from their first 7 playoff games, and it's hard to imagine them losing, but you're right that with significant matchup changes, series dynamics can be totally different. Nuggets are clear favorites but I'd want to see how things look with Thunder/Mavs and Boston before crowning them.

By all accounts, the roster construction to stop the Nuggets has worked defensively:
- McDaniels has limited Murray to 16.8 ppg and below 43% shooting.
- MPJ is avg. 12 ppg, down from 22ppg he avg. against the Lakers.
- TWolves have stalemated the Nuggets in rebounding.

The problem is that they can't keep up offensively. McDaniels is a limited offensive player, as is Rudy, and Conley (to an extent).
Off the bench, Naz Reid can make shots, but he can't create.

There is immense pressure on Ant and KAT to carry the load.

Who is going to stop Jokic on any team? Denver NBA champions for the next 10 years confirmed.

Celtics in particular don't have a center that can bang with Jokic....Porzingis, 37 yo Horford, Kornet

It's like they built their roster without thinking about Jokic at all

lol what team has someone that can bang with Jokic?

He’s made minced meat out of Anthony Davis and Rudy Gobert, the two best big men defenders in the game. If there was some magical Jokic stopper every team would be after him.

Game isn’t won or lost on individual matchups anyway.

Both teams play completely different styles and a Boston will try to blow the Nuggets away offensively.

Draymond has an unhealthy Gobert obsession
