Imo the only thing stopping LeBron from getting MVP right now is Cav's record

And the Cavs are about 25-14 with LeBron.

Haha. Who do you have #1? Tom Brady?

1. Chris Paul
2. Kevin Garnett
3. Kobe Bryant
4. Lebron James
5. Steve Nash

Lebron is moving up and could catch Kobe soon, but as of right now it's just too hard to ignore what Paul and Bryant have done out West.

True for this whole season so far. Their stats may not reflect this but the way they are playing imo does

#4?

At this point he should be a unanimous #1.

League leading scorer by a 2 point margin

League leader in PER by a 2.5 point margin

Scores the most 4th quarter points in the league by about a 3 point margin

Has led the cavs to a league high 18 fourth quarter comebacks. No other team has more than 14.

The best clutch player in the league

The best player in the league

Just how deep into the season are people going to consider 5 1/2 missed games, all losses, where the team scored 20 ppg below what they score when he plays as a negative in the case for MVP?

There is a difference between league MVP and the best player in the league.

Welcome to the NBA.

unanimous is a huge stretch..best player in the NBA is more accurate..I don't see how he can be ahead of Chris Paul at this point..a guy that is leading a team that didn't make the playoffs last year, but are #2 in the West with the loss tonight..

Love Thornton's game. He's been owning Josh Smith this whole game, not just that facial. He's just coming along real nice.

Well, I dont want to turn this into another Kobe vs LeBron debate but as Im a laker fan and I watch a lot of Laker games obviously I'll use it as an example. Im going to use when we had everybody healthy (Bynum, Ariza) etc. More often than not during taht span of games, i dont know the exact number but many times Kobe was chilling his knees the entire 4th quarter, because he and thererfore his team played so well. What LeBron is doing now is impressive. But would you have LeBron play effective for the first three quarters and get a big lead so he rests most if not all of 4th quarter.
Or would you want the games close so LeBron can get that 15 or so 4th quarter points and hit a game winner.

I personally would want the former case, because you are taking care of business. Even though the former case obviously screws your 4th quarter stats since you most likely wont play that much, that to me is more impressive and therefore MVP worthy than the latter case. Dont get me wrong, what LeBron is doing now is amazing.

18 4th quarter comeback wins. Against teams like the Celtics, Spurs (game winning shot), Lakers (twice), Blazers (down 11 on the road with 4:20 left, game winning shot), Raptors (down 23 on the road in the 4th).

I can't put Lebron over Paul or Garnett at this point, like I said I have Kobe above him right now but not by much, and if anyone placed Lebron over Kobe at this point I could live with that... But putting LBJ over Paul and Garnett? Come on.

The Hornets are one of the best teams in the WEST right now despite having one of if not the worst benches in the league. As for Garnett, while I've been critical of him in the past and am always sure to never overcredit him for the Celtics' success this season Garnett IS THE REASON for their amazing defensive turnaround.

The cavs haven't had everyone healthy a single game all season. The 2nd half of last game and the whole game tonight they were without 2 of LeBron's top 5 teammates on the team.

Brad Miller is quietly having a good season. 14, 9 and 4 and tonight with 22/20 and 5. Not to mention he's blocking a shot a game.

Excellent game by Brad Miller - 22 pts, 21 rebs (career high), 5 ast, 3 blk

Just tops off how this guy has revived his game from the last 1 or 2 seasons.

Ron Artest was also especially good
