Playoffs team of the decade
Considering its playoffs time now, who are the best playoffs players from the last decade?
Here is mine
G AI - Single handedly willed the 76ers to a win against the 2001 Lakers, possibly the greatest team in the modern era. AI in his prime was unstoppable, the skill, will and heart he had made him the greatest little man ever. Unlucky to miss out - Derek Fisher, Jason Kidd, Billups.
G Kobe - What, you expected somebody else? There is nothing Kobe Bryant cant do, or wont do to win.
F Robert Horry - Best NBA player not to play in an All-Star game. He is what Rasheed Wallace wishes he was. A winner everywhere he went, he is an NBA playoff legend, the man who finished the Kings dynasty. Unlucky to miss out - Bruce Bowen, Lebron.
F Duncan - I still think Popovic is more important for the Spurs but all those rings and Finals MVPs dont lie.
C Shaq - Cant shoot free throws, late game liability, no defense, but 4 rings, no more need to be said.

No love for Chauncey and his 7 in a row Conference Finals appearances?

Not in playoffs, Nash is too soft.
Kidd is not far off from AI but I give it to AI because he can single handedly win you a game.

Kidd
Kobe
LeBron
Duncan
Shaq
Kobe/Duncan/Shaq are no brainers. You could replace Pierce with LeBron or Billups with Kidd though.

AI gets NO love on here, pretty lame.

I could never say that about KG. Even though he is a great player. In some way even in his prime he is Joakim Noah with a jump shot and a little better post game. Outside of that they have the exact same skill set.

I think your list is solid, with the exception of Robert Horry. You could easily do, JKIDD IVerSON KOBE DUNCAN SHAQ, with SHAQ being the best player of the decade

Bit of a cop out to put people out of position in these "dream teams", the whole idea is to have the hard decision of "Wade vs Kobe" and so on and so forth, zero point putting someone out of position in these discussions.

Re: Playoffs team of the decade
For the whole decade, I'd have to go with:
Billups
Kobe
LeBron*
Duncan
Shaq
*I know LeBron wasn't around for the whole decade, but it's hard not to put him on that team. I'd put T-Mac or Vince for the first half followed by LeBron in the 2nd half, but I'd hate for Vince to catch a hang nail or T-Mac to curse the team.
And you know, with the rest of that line-up, Robert Horry wouldn't be that dumb of a 5th man.
Oh, and I agree with Ginobili as 6th man.
EDIT: As a Nash fan, it took a lot for me to say Billups over Nash. Billups gives you better defense, but you'd think those 4 other guys could cover up for Nash. Imagine Nash dropping oops to Kobe and LeBron for a moment. Picture Nash penetrating and then dumping a perfect behind-the-back drop-off to prime Shaq for the tremendous dunk.

Agreed. I think the OP sticking AI in at PG is ridiculous. I've never been an AI fan (and no, I'm not just judging by now), but during that time when he was "so great" and stole a game from the otherwise undefeated post-season Lakers in the finals, he played SG. Eric Snow was his PG.
There's no way AI beats out Kobe (or even Wade) for the starting SG spot.
