The Cavs take on a gargantuan contract to still go absolutely nowhere.

I'd do it in a heart beat. But why would WIZ accept this?

Gilbert needs Gilbert in order to have a chance of backing his promise up, I agree with Simmons

Not a bad idea!
WAS may not want Arenas around John Wall for obvious character reasons.
CLE need a new franchise player, and Hibaichi would at least give excitement back in CLE.

So would they then go after Butler, Stevenson, and Haywood from Dallas to complete the old Wizards?

To keep Arenas as far away from Wall as possible.

Cavs need to rebuild, period. Arenas is not going to bring Cleveland a championship, but would probably make them good enough to get horrible draft picks for the next few years. Why?

I'm pretty sure they can find better suitors.

With his contract? I'm not so sure. Arenas is owed about $80 million over the next four years. I want to know why Cleveland would ever accept that deal. West is enough of a headcase but at least he's an expiring this year. Moon and Gibson are also relatively cheap contracts that will be off their books in a few years. Right now Cleveland needs to start rebuilding not taking on untradeable, cap-killing contracts.

No way would the Wiz touch that deal.

Wizards would be lucky to get offered such a deal. Arenas with his off the court issues and his massive contract create a huge problem for trades.

And that would be why the Wizards' franchise stays bad, it's the worst contract in the history of sports. To get an expiring for it without giving up Blatche and McGee as well would be unbelievable.

Are people actually under the impression that teams want Arenas because I don't understand this idea that the Wiz can hold off for better value. He has one of the worst contract in the league and that was true even when he was healthy. If the Wiz could actually trade him for expiring contracts they would be far better off in the future. This isn't about getting equal value for a player. It's about clearing cap room to make better moves in the future.

HAHA

Wizards fans think this is too little? I thought a couple of months ago they were on their hands and knees begging for expirings.

I don't think the Wiz accept that trade, but I've thought this was an interesting proposition from the start. Gilbert may indeed need Gilbert to attempt a follow-through on his guarantee.

You thought wrong..... :)

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.
