Characteristics of a superstar?

After reading so many threads lately proclaiming some new player, or some young player the next big thing I wondered what are the things that actually make a superstar.

What are the thing that separate a Michael Redd from a Kobe Bryant

List the things that you feel are required to become a superstar

thread titles aimed at baiting posters will get your thread locked, but since i moved this thread without reading the OP il let it slide for now

Killer instinct, ability to close games and willingness to take over. I think that's a key trait. That's what separated second half Derrick Rose from first half Derrick Rose. He was way too passive, too unselfish, and looked like he was scared to be the man. When you're a superstar you've got to be confident and have to be willing to take over.

anyone who is TRULY GREAT at something sees details better than anyone else. he sees details that others either cannot see or overlook. this goes for ALL endeavors.
