Can somebody sign Jarron Collins?

Post#1 » by dalekjazz » Wed Aug 25, 2010 1:32 am

With Okur injured and Fesenko unsigned I have a dreadful feeling the Jazz are going to sign Jarron Collins. Apart from drawing charges and setting solid picks Collins is useless. He can't rebound or block shots, something the Jazz need at the Center spot. Can some team sign him so Sloan isn't tempted to bring him back and worse, start him while Okur is recovering?

The Collins Bros have always been living proof that size pays.

Sure, they set a good pick and slap a good arse on the bench, but I don't know how that equates into a multi-year NBA career.

More power to them....

i opened this thread fully intending to reprimand you for asking this...only to realize that you're asking this so as to "deny" your team from signing him haha...guess we're on the same page my bad :)

Those brothers are by FAR, some of the scurbbiest scrubs ever to play in the NBA.

It'd be great if the Collins twins could play several more years, and then some NBA team be dumb enough to sign the Wears twins of UCLA (formerly UNC). That way we could have three set of twin brothers in the NBA at one time (Collins', Lopez's, and the Wear's). Has that ever happened in a professional sport?

Hah funny you should mention Diop I was talking to a friend earlier today and we both agreed that Diop is the one player in the league worse than Jason Collins on offense.

The Graham bros. They'd go roid rage on me if I don't pick them.

I can see the Knicks doing it. They have a very young team and could use a veteran presence on the team. A guy like Collins, who wont complain about playing time and be a good locker room guy, is a nice fit for them.
