Pretty much everyone named in this thread.

I was never a fan of Duncan, but I know it's gonna hit me when he's gone. Gonna miss Vince too, even though he hasn't been doing the same types of dunks back in his prime. Already missing his cousin, TMac...AI is gone...man all the all-star wing players back in the day actually.

When Kobe is gone, I won't even know what to do or feel...

Tim Duncan- One of my favorite players ever. This guy always did things the right way. What I always liked about Duncan was that nothing could faze the man. I remember a playoff series against the T-Wolves where you can see KG talking trash, trying to get in his head. Afterwards all you see is Duncan calmly take the game over and give KG another 1st round spanking. Duncan' was never about talk, he led by example. All he has done is win games and championships. And thats what will separate his retirement from so many other great players.

Jason Kidd- The best point guard the NBA has seen since Magic retired. The man is the sole reason for the Nets revival in the early 00's. Played in the Finals twice (you listening Nash?) He was a lockdown defender that could guard opposing point guards, shooting guards, and even small forwards. He made the games fun to watch with his pin-point passing and leadership on the court. Will definitely be missed.

Lebron James- I may only be a part of the 1% of people that like Lebron, but imo this man has been the most dominant small forward this game has ever saw. The way he can takeover games by scoring and passing has been something special to watch over the years.

There are a lot of answers to this question (Shaq, Kobe, Duncan), but the retirements that are going to be very depressing for me are Arenas and T-mac ones...

Why ? Because if T-mac keeps injuring himself and Gilbert keeps acting like crazy until their retirements, it will be so frustrating to see them end like that !!

I just loved so much their God-given talents, athleticism, shooting skills, etc. and I'd like to them win something before going on retirement. If not, I'll definitely be depressed...

How about some love for DIRK? Not even one mention? Jeesh. The guy is a modern marvel. A true one of a kind player if there ever was one.

Kobe will play until around 40. He will be the wily vet hitting big shots in the 4th for years to come. Kobe will be missed as the most skilled player ever to play in the NBA.

Shaq... by a million miles will be the most saddening. He's a unique guy. The others I'll shrug it off quite easy.

As a Celtics fan, it's got to be Paul Pierce. I'm 22 right now and when I started watching, Pierce had just come into the league. I've never followed a Celtics team that he wasn't on and the day he leaves will be a sad one. I remember when they finally got to the finals, he was the one I was happiest for and when he got the finals mvp, I sort of felt like a proud parent. (weird because he's roughly 12 years older than me)

Actually yeah, I hadn't thought about PP, but that'll make me rather emo.

Kobe.

Because everyone hated him so much because he was too good.

When he's gone, the haters will realize how they truly disrespected greatness. All that will be left are unprovens and wanna-bes.
