Oh I completely agree. I meant to say "naturally talented" my mistake. Vince was also naturally talented and had the potential to be the GOAT but we all know how that ended.

Nope. GOATs lead teams, they don't join superteams.

I don't think Lebron is the GOAT now nor ever will be most likely, but there's more to it then just rings you know.

It's entirely possible that MJ could have been stuck on **** teams with incompetent management top to bottom, and never won any rings despite being the amazing individual player that he was. What then?

So heavily valuing TEAM accomplishments when making distinctions between INDIVIDUALS is silly.

Not even close. Not saying it won't be close at some point in his career. But at this point he's only been able to deliver statistacly. Whereas MJ (along with other guys considered in this conversation) has the rings and the ability to win games and championships thru sheer will to go along with their stats.
Talking about how bad Julius Randle is:

And the other HOFers on those teams? Bench warmers? What about Phil Jackson? Glorified baby sitter?

Vince never had the chance to be ANYTHING so don't start with that crap!

Not sure what lead to your belligerant response, I was simply responding and making the suggestion that Vince was also naturally talented and had POTENTIAL but never had the work ethic, heart, or desire. So no need for you to start with your crap.

The whole point is to be in contention for GOAT, you need to lead your team to a championship...probably more than once.

I think that has to do with how good your team is. If a guy averages 50/20/10 on 55% TS but doesn't win a championship, it's not going to be because he wasn't as good as a guy that averaged 25/8/5 who won 4 or something. I wish people would stop with these obvious fallacies.

Obviously, your much more likely to have a great pop culture legacy if you win, but that doesn't necessarily make you a better player. This isn't tennis.

Well LeBron doesn't average anywhere close to 50/20/10 and hasn't won a championship. When he averages those numbers your argument becomes relevant. Until then your argument is completely irrelevant towards him being the greatest player of all time and you should stop with your obvious fallacy.

How can he be a GOAT based on your argument when he is only second in PER? Do not worry, he has many years to become number 1 in PER of all time then he can become the GOAT.

Seriously wtf. How can you ask if he's GOAT if your only argument for him being GOAT is him being 2nd in PER.
