Lettuce Discuss Atlanta Hawks Front Office/Coaches/Players..

Post#1 » by Michael8Beasley » Sun Apr 3, 2011 3:36 am

SMFH @ this organization.

My heart goes out there to all the follow and loyal Hawk fans who has stand by this orgazanations threw the ups and downs. As a fan of teams that haven't been successful I know how it feels. But damn this team, this team right here is a joke to all professional sports teams. I won't even mention all the horrible decision this team has made over the years and all the fails they accomplish.

So people of RealGM, what is your opinion on the ATL Hawks?

P.S if there are any Hawk fans on this site my prayers are for you.

I am in awe of the use of lettuce.

The Hawks don't have it that bad. I'd rather be them than several teams.

Grizzles, Timberwolves, Kings, and Clippers right off the bat come to mind as worse places to be a fan.

I've never seen a team as good as the Hawks be constantly treated as if they were a bottom dweller. It's kind of weird, actually.

Lettuce? Really?

Anyway, they have nice players in Horford and Josh Smith. Everyone else is either not that good or getting paid far more than they should be. Teague could be alrgiht, but not as good as he seems to be expected to be out in ATL. Signing Joe Johnson to that contract was a mistake of massive proportions and everyone, except the Hawks front office and ownership, knew it right away. That signing will put a strangle hold on the franchise for the duration of the contract. Why resign a player for that much money when the team is not that close to winning a ring? F'n silly. It will be even worse for that franchise when they are forced to lose one/both of Horford and/or Smith.

The owners suck, the front office sucks, the players are not so great, and I haven't watched them closely enough this season to really comment on the coaching.

Because they do nothing in the playoffs every year

so do the blazers, mavs, wizards, jazz, rockets, griz, bucks, rap, 76, hornets, gsw, bobcats, nuggets, pacers, nets, cavs, clip, wolves.... i don't get the special treatment

Hawks made some mistakes, but also have never had a #1 overall pick, unlike the magic, bucks, rockets, cavs, and spurs, who have had three #1 overalls pick in their history.

this ROFL

but seriously all the mistake this team has made over the past 7 season is a ridiculous

Marvin Williams over CP3/Deron Williams/Raymond Felton

^^and they didnt need another SF/SG/PF they already had Josh Childress, Josh Smith and I believe Joe Johnson was on the squad @ the time.

Picking Acie Law SMH

Signing Joe Johnson to that max deal.

Joe Johnson choking in the playoffs

They will be one of those team that may pass the 1st round, but won't get much farther for the next couple of years. I saw the signing of Rashard Lewis so I felt for the fans when FO decided to resign Johnson. Difference is that we got Dwight Howard, that's why we still able to make some noises.

They match up well with the Magic this year, so don't count them out just yet. They got a couple of good players, but no one that can take over the game for them. Joe Johnson isn't that guy, he don't come off as a mentally strong dude.

they didnt have johnson when they drafted williams, definitely a bad pick in hindsight, but how many players as small as chris paul are great nba players.

acie law in hindsight was a bad pick but they had a huge hole at point guard at the time, and it was a **** draft, anyway which of the next 10 picks taken could have fitted with the hawks any better?

you're ignoring all of the great moves the hawks have made in that time

the sign and trade to get johnson was a great deal, they signed him to a big contract, relative to his production in phoenix, and he lived up to it.

josh smith was a great pick in 2004 at #17

horford was a nice pick, in the 2007 draft, only 3 of the top 10 players lived up to their pick (horford, durant, and noah), and atlanta got one of them.

atlanta have done a nice job putting together a consistent playoff team that many franchises would be jealous of, they may have little potential to become contenders, but its better than a state of constant rebuilding that some team go through.
