Have I seen this somewhere before?

Post#1 » by Daffy » Wed Apr 6, 2011 7:00 am

First off, if the mods dont like this post just lock and delete it, I'm not trying to cause any problems.

I may be wrong on some of these stuff here but I dont understand why people are mad becuase of the way the Heat assembled their roster. Kobe and Pau Gasol on the lakers look at what the lakers gave up for Pau Gasol, if anyone doesnt think that trade was pure B.S I dunno what to say, sure Marc Gasol panned out but at the time who really believed he would.
Boston Celtics....If i recall correctly celtics wanted K.G, he refused to be traded there. After the trade for Ray Allen he suddenly wants to go to Boston? Isn't that just as bad as Miami's superstars supposedly looking the easy way to winning a chip? I mean the Lakers argument might not be as solid but i feel if you can criticize Mia for the way they came about the same can be done for Bos. And that year the won the team was LOADED with solid ring chasers.

Insecure little peasants hating on greatness because they cant have it themselves.

Instead of going out and talking to their team's GM'S, writing them letters, boycotting games, FORCING them to make more aggressive moves, they whine and moan about teams that get it right.

Where was the bitching where Lakers gave a basketball of peanuts and flowers to Grizz and got Pau Gasol? That's not buying a championship? What about signing Shaquille O'neal? Shaq leaving the Magic and going to Lakers was a players right. Lebron doing it he' abandons Cleveland?

It's all trolls and fat girls, trolls and fat girls.

Lol aiight i can deal with this response. But I'm glad you see where I'm coming from. All in all I dont think this whole Mia situation is that bad. I remember Kobe wanted to leave L.A if they didnt bring him help. I wonder if people thought he was gonna go to another team that didn't have another star player?!?! Even in the Melo to New York situation its the same thing.

You can't blame Lebron and Bosh either. If their previous Gm's had put them in a position to succeed they wouln't have left, I'm sure if Lebron or Bosh won atleast one ring they wouldn't have left their team. After 7 years of you career and not winning you're gonna have to put yourself in a position to win. You're not gonna get any younger.

I think most people want to see a player with LBJs talents push his self to be the best, not take the bitches way out.

All the legends in this sport earned thier place in history by competing ,win or lose, against the best.

The hype for LBJ was just too much, entering the league as a 'King' then conceding when the challenge is too hard.

Jordan getting Pippen and Shaq getting Kobe, Pierce getting BOTH Allen and KG were some bitchy highways too.

Man its like the same re-hashed conversations with the same points that were made in July keep re-appearing in the exact same threads.

Differance is ....those guys have rings....

Jordan and Pippen grew together, they didnt bring in the mailman cuz it was too hard to win

Shaq and Kobe joined the Lakers the same year... they went thru the winning and losing together.

Pierce got KG, who literally played his heart out for the team that drafted him unlike LeDouche, and Allen who is a great player but not a superstar.

And none of those transactions were celebrated like the ridiculous display put on after the Heat signing.

Why the hate for Miami?? How about having a little class??

Kobe wasn't the second best player when he joined the Lakers either. You act like he had LeBron's hype.

Also I'm glad to see that no one understands why LeBron did the wrong thing, 9 months after.

We had this conversation already. Ignorance of the bandwagon shouldn't surprise me.

there is ZERO wrong with what these guys and the miami heat did. haters are hating cuz it didnt happen to their teams. if its so important to do it yourself, how come jordan didnt get out of chicago when pippen turned into a hall of fame player? jordan got lucky that a player chicago drafted turned into a great running mate.

the goal is to win, that is it. in 7 years, cle wasnt able to draft anybody that blossomed into an allstar or bring in anybody of all star level, such as pippen, to help lebron win. so lebron too it upon himself to increase his chances of winning. people say hes b*tchin out or whatever, but theyre just haters plain and simple.

whether its by trades, free agency, or draft (and getting lucky that a prospect turns out), the goal is to build a team that gives you the best chance to win. the heat used free agency, which is no different then trading or lucking out with a draft pick.

on the subject of their little party, that was meant for the people of miami and only them. as theyve said, its not their fault it got covered nationally. they had a party for the city and the people that support their team. another thing that there is ZERO wrong with.

but 1 thing is always true in life, haters gonna hate.

Yeah OP is right. Memphis has Gasol,Mayo Randolph and Gay. That makes 4 stars in one team.

You can partially blame LeBron, he got the teammates he wanted. Look at that roster from last year, there were at least 3 or 4 players that the Cavs picked up because of LeBron. What were the Cavs going to do, say no to the best player in the league? That argument is quickly getting old.

Personally, I don't care that LeBron went to the Heat, but that Decision debacle was ridiculous.

None of those were situations were where a player who is supposed to be the best in the league left and joined another top three player.

When you the "best player in the league". People come to your team, you dont go to theirs.
