LeBron was a +24 out there, don;t know how this can go to anyone else but him.

Rose did have a monster game though

LeBron for the Gold.

Close call between Rose and Bosh for Siver and Bronze.

I was all set to go on a rant if Rose had more votes right now... he took a ton of shots and had some turnovers at untimely moments. Turned it around quite a bit in the 4th quarter, but Lebron still is clearly the best choice here, clearly.

LeBron played the best game today. Rose had to many turnovers in the 3rd quarter.

Easy day (only two games so that's kinda expected) with just a few standout performances. LeBron James wins this easily but has no chance with this performance in Days 1 & 2.

not sure how you pick Rose over James here. Similar stat lines except for Rose was very careless with the ball. Most of those turnovers were unforced mental mistakes. Until Collison went out, Rose was outplayed at the PG position. James was +24 on the night, Rose was +11, Bosh was +20.

I can see making a case for Rose over Bosh, b/c rose was being doubled/tripled, but James was much more effective than rose today.

Boozer would have had a metal if he would have just made his freakin free throws...

Players 4-8 would not even be nominated on day's 1 or 2 (Efficiencies were all 21 or lower, and in the past, you needed a 25 to get on the list i think). Although I could see James getting a Bronze with this performance in either day.

I'm going to be honest with you, I wanted the Pacers to win so I could say this: "Just so we're clear Derrick Rose can't win this because his team lost," because I still think that was a ridiculous reason why Howard didn't win the "award". Yeah, I know it means nothing, I just hated the comment.

Bitter about Day 1? That was probably a flaw in the poll design. My whole "vote 2 players" deal kinda screwed Howard over. Howard and Rose were definitely top 2 statistically, so they were getting a majority of the votes without really being distinguished as who performed better. Then there was a small but powerful faction who really valued the win, and voted for Rose and (player from winning team). That was what separated the 2 in the end.

Howard *may* have been slighted a gold metal, but he still got a silver. I think this polling system makes sure a candidate doesn't get jipped a bronze metal if they deserve it, but when 2 players both have good games, it's hard to separate the 2.

The discussion, though, I thought was very good. At first I thought howard was 1 and Rose 2. I still feel that way, but the gap was closed considerably after reading the analysis of some of the non-orlando, non-bulls fans. Pretty insightful I thought.... but still... 46 and 19. WOW

Not really bitter. I just wanted people to know that he outperformed the entire Hawks front court, that includes Smith, Horfort, Collins, Pachulia, Thomas and Powell, they combined had 36 points, 17 rebounds and 0 blocks whereas Howard had 46 points, 19 rebounds and 1 block shot. That's something that will probably never happen again and I just wanted him to have his props. :) I feel better now that I said it. I understand your system and I see your point. And I do understand why people say stats don't matter if you lose the game but I thought he had a pretty good game though I don't know where his teammates were, but Nelson showed up later though.

Anyways, I thought Rose and Bosh had a pretty good game.

Respect. I thought Howard beasted and even as a Bulls fan he got my vote. Shout out to you for acknowledging Bosh and Rose's good games, usually these threads are something like Player X was dominant Player Y sucked in comparison. No middle ground or rational answers. Anyway, today LBJ then Rose, Rose did not have his A game today.
