Best at each position

Post#1 » by canefandynasty » Sat May 7, 2011 6:35 pm

Here is mine. If anyone doesn't agree, it's fine. You are entitled to your opinion:

PG Chris Paul
SG Dwyane Wade
SF LeBron James
PF Dirk Nowitzki
C Dwight Howard

Didn't really have a problem with any position. The closest was probably SG. The farthest was C.

Steve Nash (led league in assists, one of league's highest adj plus/minus, shoots more efficiently than CP3...i'm not hating on CP3...one could go either way)
Manu Ginobili/Wade
Lebron
Dirk

Derrick Rose
Dwayne Wade
Lebron James
Dirk Nowitzki

If I could remove Dwayne Wade and make Durant a SG, i would add him in there. Lets bring on the hate with the DROSE pick lol

I actually agree completely with this list.

Paul (Barely over Rose)
Wade (I'd have had Kobe here until sometime this year, when he really started to fall off)
LeBron (Not close)
Dirk (The most underrated superstar for years now)
Dwight (The margin is so wide I'd have no idea who would even be second)

Steve Nash had a better season than Paul.

Steve Nash opponent per per 48 13.7
Chris Paul opponent per per 48 16.3

Steve Nash has been better defensively than Paul this year, at the very least the difference is not worth mentioning.
Offensively there can't be an argument that Paul is better than Nash.

Adjusted plus/minus stats

1. LeBron James, Heat SF ... +13.84 (21.56)
2. Dwyane Wade, Heat SG ... +11.00 (16.97)
3. Steve Nash, Suns PG ... +11.96 (16.17)
4. Chris Paul, Hornets PG ... +9.97 (16.17)

If we are talking right now , for one game or one season, I still take Steve Nash at PG easily.

1. Chris Paul
2. Dwyane Wade
3. LeBron James
4. Dirk Nowitzki
5. Dwight Howard

Chris Paul or Steve Nash is debatable.

Dwyane Wade or Kobe is not.

Didn't really have a problem with any position. The closest was probably SG. The farthest was C.

When healthy, I'd agree. If Paul isn't healthy, I'd probably take D-Williams.
