OP needs to learn that business in the NBA, sometimes means trading your favorite player away.

Money rules all.

Why is all the haters keep on ragging on Nash every opportunity? Kidd is older but gets nowhere near the hate that Nash gets. Phx is NOT trading Nash until he requests one (and he says he won't). It's obvious he's more valuable from a basketball and business perspective in Phx. If he DID request a trade they'd get 50 cents on the dollar for him. That does not mean Nash is not worth a random scrub in this years draft.

You guys been watching the same draft here? This year is by far one of the weakest, and you're denying yourself a lottery pick for Nash who still got at least 3 years in his tank? Seriously, you can believe the crackpot theory he's the worst defender (he's not), or that PG defense wins championships (it does not, in fact as long as you got stud bigs PG defense does not matter see Parker), but Nash is Nash. Amazing shooter year in year out, led the assist again with a bag of potato like roster. Insert him in any contender and that team will make a serious run for the next 2 if not 3 years.

Aside from the geniuses who keep harping he's 38, you need to understand that Nash is not a power player. He NEVER relied on his athleticism to become useless (See Vince Carter), he has perhaps the BEST WORK ETHIC in the NBA (from diet to conditionining) this guy is a PRO, he brings in solid leadership (as everyone respects him), gives big payday for career scrubs by maximizing them, when combined with another elite player can create some of the sickest 2 man game (see Amare). Seriously, if you're gunning for a title RIGHT now, why the @#$ would you not gamble on Nash for the next 2 years? He's making **** for money expires next year so you'll still be in the CP3 Sweepstakes.. There's no drawback whatsoever to snag him for the next 2 years.

Before you harp on how he's old, please explain how his play has regressed so much. He still put up ridiculous number AFTER losing Amare, why would you think he'll break down next year? Look at Grant Hill, the guy who has been plagued by injury and just as old as Nash. Smart diet, working year in out will lead to a longer career unlike these genetically gifted cry babies who have no work ethic whatsoever.

As for him never making the Finals... with regards to Billups. Sure Chauncy is a good PG, used to be a great PG but he was surrounded in a defensive first team (so don't make it look like he was some sort of Gary Payton defender). Also if PHX was in the East they would have made the finals every year after Nash came to Phx. Seriously, how the @#$@#$@ do you compare east to west ? East ONLY got relevant when the talent shifted over last year somewhat and it's still EASIER to make the playoffs in the East. So please take all that garbage accomplishment of making the finals in the East.
