Bosh:
Bosh said he wanted to be 'the man' of his team back when he was in Toronto. He also wanted to win while doing it. This is what he told everyone the year leading up to FA 2010. We all know he couldn't win as the man so he becomes second fiddle to Wade. That might not be enough so James joins the fun and he becomes the third wheel. Firstly he says he wants to be 'that guy' and lead his team to the promise land. He became a hypocrite for saying one thing and doing the other (whether or not Toronto wanted him to stay and remain as the franchise or not is another matter because as a raptors fan I understood he wasn't going to do squat as our franchise).
LBJ:
LBJ is totally different. As a fan of NBA basketball I realize he is currently at least the 2nd best basketball player. This is true for the past 5 years. Personally I believe his decision to not support his hometown after being treated like a 'king' was poor itself. I wouldn't understand how a fan of LBJ in Cleveland feels. Imagine Kobe not signing his current contract and decided to leave during FA. It would have been messed up....And to a playoff team in the West. Same feelings would be generated whether or not he made a tv special. They two are the undisputed faces of the league. They are role models. Not only are they role models, they are the 1 and 1a of all role models in the league. What did LBJ tell his fans as a role model? "I can make it easier for myself. I can abandon my hometown. I can quit." No body likes a quitting attitude.
I actually really want any franchise players to stick to the teams that drafted them. Dwight looks good in a Magic uniform.

And that's the proof there. before the decision, there wasn't any hate. After the decision, there was. Maybe 'The decision' (ie the way he left) had something to do with it? hmmmm
If that were the case people would/should have been upset once the decision was announced. We all know that isn't the case.
We just have to accept that most fans are hypocrites even though they are too foolish to realize/admit it.

If LeBron left and donated a year's salary to poor kids, people would still hate him. "The Decision" is just the excuse people like to use.

My only point is that people that say they hate LeBron for the way he left probably would've hated him regardless. If you hated him before that, good for you.

I can see how someone would go from "I don't like that guy" to after the decision and parade to "I **** hate this guy get him off the tv".
Then it gets projected more when you have so many bandwagoners joining this site and jumping all over the heats nuts and creating 1000 threads a night.
Anger builds.
Also, things escalate when you put yourself at the forefront. People can band together and it's a lot louder of a message when a group joins together.

Don't get it twisted.
People do hate Melo for leaving though. Melo handled the situation perfectly and people still got on his case about leaving. He told Masai how he felt behind closed doors and said nothing to the media. Den ended up getting a lot of talent in return for him as a result of that, but people still hate on Melo.

We need an "excuse" because clearly what he did with "The Decision" is not a good enough reason.
His phony persona isn't enough. "We need contraction". "What? people don't like that idea? Oh....well up until yesterday, I had never even heard of the word contraction".
The way he disrespected that ball boy isn't enough. Hes a little ball boy. He means nothing. Its not a big deal
Him walking off the court with 14 seconds left like a little bitc* because he lost is not a good enough reason. BTW, this video is a microcosm of his time in Cleveland. Not the first time he quit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qN1epji9 ... e=youtu.be
Him screaming at his mother to sit her ass down isn't enough.
Hes probably been a jerk since he was little. I'm glad he failed miserably in the finals and could probably have been outplayed by a high school player. Jason Terry DESTROYED him in THREE straight games and this clown has the nerve to refer to himself as King James. What a lame.

People act like Lebron wouldn't have been hated just as much if he joined the Knicks. People throughout the rest of the country would have equated it to a star player joining the Yankees just cause its NY. In fact I guarantee the Lebron hate would be just as high if he went to NY.

And I hope people don't get it twisted but people have always and will always love to see Lebron play, but I think there's this misconception that he was universally liked while he was in Cleveland. I know people will point to jersey sales but I never got the sense that everyone liked Lebron. Alot of it has to do with the constant hype around him since high school and also ESPN's nut hugging since then and the force feeding of it down people's throats. I think that annoyed alot more people than what was originally thought. I've never had a problem or disliked the guy but I don't do that with any athlete because I don't take sports that seriously.
