Tracy McGrady- a good fit

Post#1 » by MrMorrow » Wed Aug 17, 2011 5:09 pm

Which team should sign Tracy McGrady once the lockout ends? Are any teams interested in him?

He'll fit in with the rest of their has-been swingmen who used to play for the Raptors.

He can be an extra punch for just about every contender. Not useful to rebuilding teams though

He could have been a Bull last year....but he forgot the whole "humble" part....

I wonder if Chicago will give him another chance....
We could bring him AND his cousin (Wince) in for cheap and they could fight over the starting SG.

Now THAT would be funny.....

Wasn't he one of the main instigators of the whole Detroit "sick-out"?

I wouldn't want him on my team.

I still think that the Lakers should go for him. He'd be a good replacement for an old man Derek Fisher. Fish would be fresh for the playoffs, when he's important. I'm not so sure when I know that Lakers will no longer run the triangle-offense. T-Mac is a perfect fit for triangles.

Why would he go to a crappy team like Cleveland? He can't be a star anymore and he wants a championship, that's for sure. He probably still thinks he's young enough to be a star, but he's wrong. His health may cause him a major problems...He should hurry up and sign with a contender as soon as possible.
Plus, they're good friends with Kobe.
Did you hear that Karl Malone and John Stockton initiated new music genre? Nah, it's not Jazz. It's Pick & Roll.

I don't think T-mac is the diva he once was. I'm sure he knows he is no longer the 1st option and never will be again. He accepted the bench role in Detroit and, unlike Iverson, knows how to fit in with a team as opposed to needing to be the vocal point of the offense in order to succeed.

He's still a versatile player and IMO he would be a LOW risk HIGH reward addition to a team if you can sign him for little. It's clear he's not playing for the money anymore. He was once the highest paid player in the league and knowing he's willing to play for a fraction of that to me re-affirms his statements that he just wants to win now

He should go to the Heat. Everyone already hates him...
But really, the guy can play backup 1-3 for any contending team, If he doesn't get offers I will be shocked.

If I'm T-Mac I choose the Heat easily. They desperately need someone who can stretch the defense and give James/Wade a break on occasion.

^^^ BossHoggin is a Cavs fan, and nin10doe is using faulty logic but a 90 million dollar payroll is technically buying a championship. Anyways, enough derailing from me.

The Knicks and Bulls could both really use a reliable SG

The Knicks also need some one who can back up the point, which he could do. I dont think he wants to go back to the knicks though.
