How would you rank the best ball handling SG in the league now?

Tyreke Evans

Jamal has really good handles for a jump shooter but i can't put him in the elite knowing he prefers to use his handles to shoot jumpers. Guys who can get into the meat of a defense and still maintain control are who i am more impressed by. I would probably say Tyreke Evans has the best handles for a shooting guard. He isn't particularly fast but finds ways to attack the basket like he does.

If you call Evans a SG he's the guy. If you call him a PG, then its probably Wade. I do understand the calls for Crawford that often crop up in these threads, but its tough to say a guy has the best handles when he pretty much only uses them horizontally to set up jumpers.

Name of the thread is Which SG has the best handle in the NBA now. Not, which SG has the best handle to the rim in the NBA now.

That's because Tyreke Evans can't shoot.

This thread starts and ends with Jamal Crawford.

Jamal Crawford.

VC used to have some sick handles before he declined.

Its like saying who's the best FT shooter in the game and looking at the stats and saying its a guy who shoots 95% on 2 FTs a game. If all you're doing with your handles is using them to make a quick freeing move out on the perimeter well away from the bulk of the defense then a) its kind of a waste, and b) I'm not even sure you have the best handles all over the court anyway. Can you make multiple adjustments on one drive? Can you avoid multiple defenders and slink your way through traffic without losing control? Crawford rarely gets past that last man all the way to the rim. Evans does all the time even without the threat of a jumper. So does Wade. Should tell you something.

Which makes his drives to the basket all the more impressive. Jamal doesn't consistently test his handles in traffic like someone with great handles should. Tyreke can do just about anything with the ball that Jamal can do.
