good god. Barea is s system player who looked good under Carlisle's offense and they also played zone half the time.

Barea looked so great in the playoffs because the Mavs put him into the right system. They changed Dirks (!) substitution pattern this season to make sure Barea is never without Dirk on the court. Dirk always left the 1st and 3rd quarter after 6-7min to come back with Barea at the end of these quarter. And he mastered the PnP with Dirk and honestly Barea got the all the space because the other teams didnt want to leave Dirk.

So any team thinking about blowing a load of money for Barea should think really good if they would be able to "copy" this.

And in defense they was able to hide him (at least a little bit) with the best zone defense in the league.

I think everyone is just using the Heat as bait to raise their money up. I can't imagine any circumstance where Barea makes sense for us. PEACE.

Barea is an upgrade over chalmers, and defensively he doesn't get killed like alot of people expect.
But I don't see the heat offering their mid level to barea.

You do realize that their starting center had 5 scoreless games and 6 games of 3 rebounds or less in MIA's last 11 playoff games don't you?

Center is priority #1 with their MLE.
