they don't see the Mavs, Lakers, and Nets (close) having what they want according to Berger.

GL with that. Without a re-signing commitment, there's no way a team gives up that much...

the absolute worse thing they could do is keep him and have him walk. at least the raptors and cavs were so bad after their stars left that they could tank. the magic still have enough talent to where they wont be getting top 5 picks any time soon imo.

Even before I read the above linked article I never considered the Lakers as serious trade partners to land Howard. They simply have nothing to deal outside of Bynum (Gasol is old & soft).

The Rockets are a really interesting suitor. They have a lot of good pieces that would resemble a "Carmelo-like" trade.

It could also resemble a Hornet-Clippers like trade.

Sure lots of teams have great pieces but would Howard re-sign? I think not, hence his list. Whether people want to believe it or not, Bynum is the best piece the Magic could hope for under these circumstances...

Everyteam in the NBA is preventing from being dumb enough to do what the Knicks did and Otis is asking for these teams to do that?

No Howard doesn't want to go to Minnesota, and thats WAY too many assets for the Magic. They have to basically drop 5-7 players.. what's the use of this trade?

I agree. But if Magic don't like him you can't do much about it. Why you think they demand both Bynum & Gasol?

so let me get this straight ... info has been leaked from ORL FO that they willingly want to rip teams off ?

what team would possibly want to ship out half their roster for a rental Howard ?

Too bad Dwight wouldn't resign, that would be a crazy team. Love is like Ryan Anderson on steroids, and even Ryan Anderson benefits from Dwights inside presence very well- I could only imagine how things would open up for both of them if they played together, not to mention BOTH of the top rebounders in the league on the same team, WITH a pass first PG... and ORL gets their "Carmelo" trade and gets a bunch of young talent, and an emerging big man to replace him.

not really. they still have shooters+decent play makers in Hedo/Jameer. they would be a veteran team that can play within a system and grind it out. the bobcats are terrible because their top 7 players in terms of minutes are:

Kemba Walker
Boris Diaw
Gerald Henderson
DJ Augustin
Byron Mullins
Derrick Brown
Tyrus Thomas

only 2 of those guys are worthy of being NBA starters at this point in time (DJ and Henderson), and neither of them is having a particularly good season. unless the Magic just bench some of their vets and play rookies big minutes they wont be nearly that bad

If they wanted a good package in return perhaps they shouldn't have been the last team to trade their superstar. They waited, Utah, Denver, and NO all made their moves so now Orlando is sitting there with no trade partners.

No team has more assets than Minnesota. They should rent him, troll the NBA.

Orlando is probably not getting any great picks this year anyway, most probably. They already have too many wins.
C'mon, you apes! You wanna live forever?
