Start Fisher

Post#1 » by World Peace » Sat Jun 16, 2012 11:06 am

Oklahoma City should seriously consider starting Derek Fisher at point guard and moving Russell to the 2 guard spot. Sefolosha has gaven them nothing so while Derek has been very solid in his limited minutes. The man obviously has started on multiple championship teams and played a key role. Miami actually has to guard Fisher unlike Sefolosha.

Who's going to guard Lebron?

Bad thread

Stop it. Russell and Durant won them that game.

As a Lakers fan you should know more than anybody that Fisher is a big time player especially in the NBA Finals.

And as a Lakers fan you should know that Fisher is dreadful defender and shouldn't be starting at any team. He's a big time player, but only for about 20 minutes or so and he's pretty much perfect coming from bench. The only reason he was starting with the Lakers was because we simply didn't have a better player to start at PG

I like the idea but I'm not sure if the players would like it. It makes sense cause with that lineup you have a deeper bench then you already have now. I don't see it happening though.

Fish is a bad defender, but who's he guarding? Mario Chalmers. All he has to do is contest his jumpshots.

Who's gonna guard wade then? Westbrook? It'll be like guarding Parker all over again

Chalmers can do more than take jumpshots

Maybe he can, but he doesn't. If I remember correctly outside of game 2 and the first half of game 6 Parker struggled in the WCF. Now some of that was Sefolosha, but he wasn't on him the whole time. Westbrook defended him as well and did a solid job. Wade only has like an inch on him. Westbrook is more than capable of guarding Wade.

I believe westbrook guarded parker for the 1st 2 games and thabo guarded him for the rest. Spurs were really wearing him out with all the screens they were setting.

I think Westbrook is capable of guarding Wade too, but the energy spent guarding wade might take away from his energy on the offensive end
