Wade did acknowledge that he is not the same player who fearlessly sliced through the Dallas Mavericks in 2006. He is 30 now, his body having endured countless tumbles after darts to the basket, and there are knee problems that required a draining before Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Indiana Pacers.
“I was 24,’’ said Wade. “Totally different. Six years ago, man. I’m not that athletic, I’ll tell you that, as I was in ’06, but I still have something in me. I still have some left in me.
“I wish it was possible to stay at that same athleticism as I was at 24, but that’s not possible.
Maybe this will change the minds of those still in denial.

Anyone who follows basketball and doesn't realize players start losing their athleticism by 30 really is uninformed in a major way. Some players are able to compensate by increasing their knowledge of the game or skills such as shooting but most aren't.

Despite his decline, he's still the best SG in the league.

Is there any confirmation that he did get his knee drained?

He's still a god SG but not the same that he was once. Well, it's not really that unexpected.

I really wonder how much all those extra falls will effect Wade's health vs. the way other SGs play. On one end of the spectrum, Wade came into the league late (less ware and tear) and he was out for a season with injury, but on the other hand he falls an awful lot.
On the 3rd hand coming out of my butt, Wade is really good at falling in a way so he doesn't get hurt

Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
Kobe only SG in NBA history to lead his team in assists for 10 seasons.

98-99,03-04: 0.4 APG behind Harper/Payton -almost 12 seasons

Is there any doubt? All Kobe does is chuck the ball. Give Ben Gordon those field goal attempts and he'll score 25ppg.
