1. Durant
2. Paul
3. Lebron
4. Melo
5. Duncan

Right, like OKC and the Clipper are not stacked at all....

Of course there stacked but neither of those teams have two other top 15 players. Not to mention Miami is the 5th best team in the NBA and they play in the Eastern Conference which is utterly embarrassing

Right now it's a two man race
Chris Paul and Kevin Durant

With Cliff Paul as the darkhorse

I'm not a Kobe fan

This is why I don't see Melo as the MVP... He has to many bad games... LeBrons only bad game this year was last night when he was an assist away from a triple double... Durant/CP3 rarely has bad games... I rank both of those players ahead of Melo in the MVP race by far...

nobody deserves the MVP more than chris paul. he's put the clippers on the map. kobe bryant got an mvp just because he deserved one overall, and now it's Paul's turn. durant will have his day, but he hasn't paid the same dues that paul has.
real gm logic;
"kobe scored 48 points tonight"

This, Chris Paul should be the MVP look what he's done to the Los Angeles Clippers, I hope people aren't forgetting what this team was like before CP3 came to the Clippers. He's changed this team, one of the laughing stocks of the league since they've played in LA. This should be considered.

Durant - 40 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, 15-22 shooting +31 +/- in 32 minutes after 3 quarters. Probably won't play in the 4th quarter

At this point, it's got to be either Durant or CP3.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Durant is starting to stride away from the other two imo.

2012 was Lebron's year. 2013 will be Durant's year! KD is the best player in the league this season and it's not even close.

Usually I take +/- with a grain of salt, but not with Durant tonight....he was +35, and it's not a coincidence. He was taken out of the game when OKC had a 25-14 lead in the first quarter, and the Lakers went on an 11-0 run to tie the game by the end of the quarter. He stayed on the bench the first 5-6 minutes of the second quarter and it pretty much stayed a 0-2 point game. He came back in and OKC had a 16 point lead at halftime. The Lakers sorta kinda got back in the game, cutting the lead to 16 fairly early in the fourth. Enter Durant, and OKC gets the lead back to 27 before he comes out for good.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Wow, I mean huge case for Durant winning the MVP. But best player and it's not even close? Hahaha.

Yeah, Durant's the pretty clear MVP at this point but he and Lebron are still fighting for best player. Lebron is still the better player despite Durant having the better season so far.

Mostly because LeBron, being more of a facilitator, needs a supporting cast who steps up in big moments more.

I think there is enough season left to say no one is running away with anything.
