Bennett Salvatore officiated Nuggets-Spurs game

Post#1 » by Yoga » Thu Mar 28, 2013 2:58 am

I think Salvatore had money on the Spurs. Completely one sided officiating. Denver should have won

Did you even watch the game? Phantom fouls on Duncan, no calls on Ginobili, Giving Gallo FTs he didn't earn. More like Refs tried to hand the game to the Nuggets

Bennett Salvatorre = biggest David Stern company man when he wants to make sure the home team gets ALL (and i mean ALLLLLL) the calls

Denver 24 fouls; San Antonio 17

Free throws: 17 for Denver; San Antonio 27

--

Key stats that shows Denver should have won, if not for Salvatorre:

Denver outrebounded Spurs 41-38

FGM % Denver 47.7 to Spurs 46.1

Denver 26 Assists to Spurs 20 assists

Denver only had 15 turnovers; Spurs had 18

If Denver faces Spurs in WCF--Stern basically says Denver has no chance.....I will send my most loyal zebras in Salvatore and Crawford to win the series for the Spurs

All the stats show is that it was close, just like the final score indicated.

Your butthurt is amusing.

Did you know that the Kings shot more free throws overall than the Lakers in their 2002 series?

It's amazing how the Lakers won despite the series being fixed against them.

Spurs 10/15 from 3.
Nuggets 0/10 from 3.

I'm not crying about the calls on this one...Spurs got a few more calls but Denver got to the line at the end also....Spurs 3 ball is what won this game. Spurs never get called for a lot of fouls, that's nothing new.

The Spurs championship in 2005 was fixed. I recall Manu Ginobili getting superstar calls for flopping on the offensive and defensive end.

Here is my list of how the NBA wants teams to win based on ratings and marketability (2012-2013 season) :

Superstar teams / big markets:

-Miami Heat
-Boston Celtics
-LA Lakers
-LA Clippers

Small market that needs to succeed as an example:
-San Antonio Spurs
-Oklahoma City Thunder

We can't help them win because it would be too obivious:

-New York Knicks
-Golden State Warriors(??)

We helped you in the past, but will not in the future:

-Chicago Bulls
-Houston Rockets

Medium size markets that will be competitive and make the playoffs but have no chance at championship:

-Denver Nuggets
-Memphis Grizzlies
-Indiana Pacers
-Atlanta Hawks

All I took away from this immature, ridiculous and obviously written by a 14 year old post is you have Denver as a medium sized market and San Antonio as a small market.

Denver has a msa population of 2.6 million. San Antonio has a msa population of 2.2 million. San Antinio is also growing at a faster rate and by more people annually.

I just read that this corrupt ref was behind the 2006 NBA Finals!! WOW

Salvatore famously made a key call against Dirk Nowitzki in Game 5 of the 2006 NBA Finals after which Dallas owner Mark Cuban held one of the angriest press conferences in history. ESPN's Bill Simmons has named Salvatore the second worst referee in the NBA, and a review of every call of Game 5 by 82games.com found that of the ten debatable calls Salvatore made in that game, an astonishing eight (I'm no math whiz, but that's 80%) favored the Heat -- who ultimately won that game and the championship.

I sincerely hope Denver's FO will send a letter to NBA front office executives about Salvatore. I can't believe this dodgy GM was behind the rigged 2006 NBA Finals
