My theory about 1-dimensional, offense-killing, pure scorers
.....is about to hold true after Melo gets eliminated. Durant was eliminated earlier in the week. Pure scorers don't win championships. Ball-hogging, black hole, offense killing, pure scorers don't win championships...
Allen Iverson - 0 championships
Tracy McGrady - 0 championships
Kevin Durant - 0 championships
Carmelo Anthony - 0 championships

I didn't even realize that Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant were retiring at the end of this season.

Re: My theory about 1-dimensional, offense-killing, pure sco
the triangle offense is initiated in the post but does require wing scoring, which explains why phil has had success with his shooting guards.

Although Lebron, Kobe, Michael, Wade can all score, they could do a little of everything on the basketball court. Melo, Iverson, etc, bring nothing but scoring.

Kevin Durant is a black hole and a ball hogger?
He doesn't even take the most shots on the team, and averages 8 Rebounds/5 Assists

KD does not belong on that list and maybe not T-Mac as well. As for the other two.... Overrated....

T-Mac and Durant shouldn't be lumped in the same category as Melo and Iverson.

The Thunder have had a Top 5 offense the last 3 seasons in a row (5th, 2nd and 1st). If Durant is supposed to be killing the offense, he's very bad at it.

Re: My theory about 1-dimensional, offense-killing, pure sco
The question is , are they better scorer than LeBron or Wade? I think Melo is overrated as hell. HE always does the same moves and has limited offensive options. People say he is the most skilled offenvie player in the nba, but why other guys score more than him even on elimination games?

Kobe is as 1-dimensional as you can get but he has won two championships without Shaq. I'm not sure how well this theory holds water, but Kobe disproves it a bit.

If you think T-Mac was one dimensional, you must be 10
TMac is one of the best playmakers ever for his position.

Are you kidding me? How is Kobe one dimensional? He was A+ at on ball defense, A+ at post defense for his position, A+ at rebounding for his position (he got the rebound when he wanted it), B+ off ball defense (in his prime only), B+ passing for his position, A- ballhandling and controlling the game for his position.
His only weakness was shot selection and the only other thing he was not all-world at was passing.

There sure are a lot of qualifiers in your post.

Who is Melo overrated by? Every year up here its at least 10 threads calling Melo overrated.
Most people dont even consider him a top 10 player. Last year he wasn't even considered a top 20 player.
90% of the board calls melo a fat overrated cancer chucker piece of ****
He was like the 16th best player according to espn last year.
He was called the most overpaid player in the league by a national magazine just like a month ago
I read that danny granger and rudy gay were better than him.
People wanted Jeremy lin over him.
So I ask again by who.
Please someone answer me.

It's too bad 3 of those guys are elite playmakers and are far from 1 dimensional.
