Marcelo Huertas

Post#1 » by Chuck Newhouse » Sat Aug 30, 2014 10:41 pm

I just watch Huertas put on a passing clinic for Brazil over France. Can anyone who has seen him play more or knows why he shouldn't be playing in the NBA please tell me about him.

He could be a backup. Offensively he is great, but he cant guard a chair. NBA PG's would blow by him and out muscle him.

Wouldn't be shocked to see him come over next year as his contract will be up.

Can't guard anyone, weak as hell. But for his offensive talents only, he'd have a place in the NBA...If he wanted to. Too valuable of a piece in Europe to leave for NBA, he might follow Pablo Prigioni's path a couple of years later.

Huertas is a very good player. But if you want NBA PG material from this Brazilian NT, look no further than Raul (Neto), who plays for UCAM Murcia

Great player. Has an 8 million dollar buyout though in his contract from FC Barcelona.

Could definitely play in the nba.

I admit that I didn't really watch his defence too much but man can he pass!

His game doesn't translate to the NBA game. He'd be a decent backup, but that's about it. Not sure why people are calling him weak. He looks stronger than most NBA pgs.

Isn't he really old? I remember looking him up a few years ago.

Because is white and plays a finesse game...

Anyway with Marcelinho the problem its not the talent or the physical tools, or even the defense which is subpar but not atrocious, problem always been the unreliability, he plays 2 good games, 1 awful one, 1 where he is nowhere to be seen, 1 awesome where he looks like the best PG in the world, 2 bad ones, 1 avg one, 1 dissapearing act... you never know which player you will have today...

31

Old for a rookie, but not nearly as old as Prigioni when he came into the league.

Raulzinho probably has better makings for an NBA career.

He could be on some teams point guard rotation just like players like Arroyo and Barea are with teams that they have been with.

Give me Calderon over Huertas. Safer, more reliable, better shooter.

The only player I know who takes 1 leg 3 point runners. Good player, can pass for sure.

Calderon would be much more valuable in the European game than Huertas currently is.
