The 2014-15 NBA season is less than a month away.

Vote for the team you predict will be the next NBA champions.

Spurs.

I think they're hungry for the repeat and they were just too damn good last year with the same team coming back.

6 West teams and only 2 East teams?

Miami should be in the poll, given that they've been to four Finals in a row.

It's not reasonable when one team must come from each conference. Trail Blazers don't belong over the Raptors or Heat, given the difficult road they face to get to the Finals. Same for the Mavericks. That said, I'm taking OKC.

A few of those teams on the list won't be better than Miami.

IMO it's dependent on whether the Cavs got another quality defensive C to split minutes with Varejao. Varejao is a rock solid C but too fragile to count on for 82 games.

Spurs are favourites but if Cavs can click then if Spurs don't win then I would only see Cavs beating them

Can't see anybody beating Cavs next year though.

Didn't even notice the Trailblazers up there. In my opinion the odds are currently against the East at the very top.

Spurs
OKC

Then you have a team like the Clippers who have the playoff experience, the chemistry, but continue to disappoint in advancing to the WCF, so they are ify, and if not for that you comfortably put them over someone like the Cavs/Bulls.

I agree though, i'd trust a team like the Heat over the Trailblazers, not sure about the Raptors though.

There are far too many votes for the Oklahoma City Thunder. They haven't rectified any of their issues from the past, and will be depending on internal growth to push them past their previous ceilings and increase their margin of error.

Why is Scott Brooks still there as a head coach?

I think the important point, as has been the case for many seasons now, is that several good/great teams from the West won't advance beyond the WCF. Once you get to the Finals, anything can happen if you have a good matchup. Regular season records become irrelevant, just ask the 2004 Lakers team.

Weird, it's almost as if something has changed since then.

(I do expect Miami to be a good team, though.)

I heard something about a player leaving your team in the off-season.
