For all the hate Dan Gilbert gets... I wouldn't trade him for any other owner in the league. The guy has no problems opening up his wallet and really runs a first-class organization where he gives the basketball people anything they need to put the best product on the court. He also tries to come up with innovative ways to enhance game day experience. For example, the ONLY reason Kyrie Irving is a Cleveland Cavalier is because they essentially turned Damon Jones and Joe Smith into Kyrie Irving because Gilbert was willing to open his wallet.

First, the Cavs traded Damon Jones and Joe Smith for Mo Williams. How did they get Mo Williams for that, you ask? Well, the Bucks wanted out of the 5 years $43 million they owed him and Dan Gilbert opened up the wallet to bring him in.

Next, Dan Gilbert did something few owners would do in the wake of losing the best player of the game. He SPENT MORE MONEY to add assets to the team. He traded Mo Williams and Jamario Moon for Baron Davis and the pick that would become Kyrie Irving at the trade deadline. The only reason the Clips threw in the pick is so that the Cavs would take on over $30 million owed to Baron Davis. Most owners would've just tried to dump salary at all costs considering the Cavs were 9-45 when they made the trade.

I loved the 3D projection last year and I'm glad it will be back this year with this scoreboard and all of the other improvements. I'm glad Dan Gilbert is my owner.

Looks like a gaudy version of the one the Nuggets have at the Pepsi Center.

Everybody just loves to take their cheap shots at cities they deem "undesirable". Since we are talking about skylines, how about somebody take a visit to Hong Kong, so you can come back here and we can discuss how puny your city is.
