For Morey, you can draft players like Parsons, Landry, Budinger, Canaan.

For other teams, it is 1-3m cash depending on the market and pick number.

Your so wrong. The Rockets defense emphasizes on playing the passing lane (gambling). Brewer should fit in well with our defensive schemes. His shooting is far more of an issue.

Good, unsurprising, move. A Rockets insider called this a day or so ago and we still have our tpe. I wonder what/who we're targeting with that? 8-)

Glen Taylor likes to convert them into physical dollars that were hoarded by drug lords, spread those dollars on his mattress, and then roll around in them naked to absorb the cocaine through his thin old-man skin.

I think it was done moreso to open up some pt for their young guys. And as far as the 2nds, take what you could get. Nobodys surrendering a 1st for him

Bingo! Everyone knew this besides a select group of wolves fans.

What exactly don't you understand about drafting a Draymond Green (or Chandler Parsons or Marc Gasol or Manu Ginobili or Monta Ellis or Paul Millsap or Dennis Rodman etc etc), paying him $800k a year, and having him play like a star (Green is 16th in RPM in the entire league). That's what second round picks give you a chance to do. Smart teams collect them.

Agreed, Minny is in full tank-mode so might as well unload some vets to pave way for the future. Houston picks up an experienced wing man.

Not surprising. Minnesota is trying to give Wiggins and Shabazz as much playing time as possible.

This is obviously Daniels' punishment for stealing Harden's rebounds. I suppose Minnesota could use his rebounding prowess to fill up the hole left by Love.

Depends on the GM.

Some guys turn into pretty good players. You could make a pretty good team out of 2nd round picks playing right now...and I'm not talking about older guys like Manu.

Omer Asik, Marc Gasol, Paul Milsap, Monta Ellis, Chandler Parsons, Isaiah Thomas, Lance Stevenson, Danny Green, Patrick Beverly, Nikola Pekovic, DeAndre Jordon, Chris Douglas-Robers, Luc Mbah a Moute, and Gortat.

I guess it depends on how confident a GM is on his acumen.

team usually drafted for potential in first round
and for other reason (injured, attitude, small size)
so there are lot of good players slip to 2nd round
deandre jordan
chandler parsons
just to name a few

...and in the spring of the year of 2013, after the disapointing battle vs Trail Blazers, Sir. Maurey went back into the stat lab and hath said:

"Thou shalt giveth to me all the data we have on defense."
Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.
