The exciting thing is that with the likes of Gobert, Len, Embiid, Nurkic, Adams, Noel, Plumlee and the raft of Cs projected in the 2015 lottery, the future of the C position looks pretty damn good which will make a nice change after the recent dearth of quality C's.

If you remember the naughties, there was a place in the league for scrubs like Samaki Walker and Jarron Collins. Eric Dampier got a near-max contract!

Right now there are about 40 young bigs that should pan out to be starting quality centres. No it's not quite the 90s because the only 'Elite talent' up to the standard of D-Rob, Ewing, Shaq and Hakeem is Anthony Davis but there is definately unprecedented depth right now. The NBA in general has become crazy deep when it comes to talent, the sport has really developed in the last decade.

Oh I remember the noughties alright, I remember pinning my hopes on Danny Fortson being the missing piece as a 6'7 C for Dallas.

Nelly would have played Josh Howard at Centre if he thought he could get away with it.

Thank god you guys went the Carlisle route.

the best part about his blocks is he keeps them in play instead of showing off with the projectile into the stands.

This is type of potential he has offensively. He's doing this on Tim Duncan too

Nice dunk, but that basket accounted for half of his points in 30 minutes. He's gonna need to score a lot more to be in the convo with Rudy.

Rudy is averaging 31-32 minutes the last 5-6 games.

Len against the Spurs was one of his higher minute games at 30 mins, he usually gets 21-24 minutes. When Rudy was averaging 22-24 minutes he was averaging VERY similar numbers as Len.

When Len starts averaging same as Rudy, as in 30-32 minutes, he will put up 12-13 points 10-11 rebounds and 3-4 blocks... again, very similar to Rudy (IMO).

These 2 are going to have some battles in the future indeed.

Didnt Rudy just scored the same amount of points as Len today against the Rockets? ;-)

Gobert scored as many points today against the Rockets. Not sure I get your point.

He's definitely "in the convo" with Rudy Gobert.

No way in hell that Gobert is way better than Len. And I say that as a Gobert fan too.

Gobert is the superior defensive player, and Len is better offensively. In order for them to be comparable Len has to score more than Rudy. That's all. And I never said Rudy was a way better player, although I believe Gobert's impact on the defensive end is elite. I like Len a lot too, and I haven't seen him play enough to make any definitive statements about Rudy being a lot better. The one thing I will say is that Rudy is a rare player who's defensive impact is greater than any player we've ever had, and I'm old enough to remember Eaton who averaged over 5 blocks a game at a point.

Some of my comments are obviously hyperbole, but it's only because Rudy is the best player who will ever live.

It's hard for Len to get points when other players on the team prefers to shot bad shots than pass him the ball. If he has ball in his hands it mean he just rebounded it.

I remember at the time of the draft many people where saying he had the highest potential in the draft, and that Cleveland was seriously considering selecting him. I personally love the kids game, really reminds me of Andrew Bogut before all the injuries.

14 and 13 today, but fouled out in 31 minutes.

Looks like he's making strides but still has issues to work on.
