Phoenix suns want to know.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Don't let Jeff Hornacek get a hold of that blue print.

For some weird reason, it seems to me like that could be a really good team.

I'd trade one of the bench guards for Shaun Livingston to play Point-Center(Center-point?). After that maybe 20+\-5 wins. Dont think they'd be the worst team in the league for some reason.

0-2 wins

Zero resistance in the paint. Everything's gonna be a dunk/lay-up or offensive putback

They'd win a surprisingly fair amount of games but would likely still end up a losing team. Of course the defense would be nothing but steals and double teams, but they'd be unstoppable in transition and would space the floor/attack the basket fantastically. Any of the players could take their man off the dribble.

If you look at the effective trend towards small ball lineups, double PG parings, and high volume 3 point shooting this type of team carries these qualities. Ball movement would be great. Turnovers would be limited. Defense could possibly be better than expected since guards/PGs are the players who pick up the most steals/have the best hands/and have generally high BBIQ.

this basketball has always been a big mans game. at lower levels all guard teams can win but at the highest level no chance in hell.

Even Zaza Pachulia would go nuts on that team. Height is extremely important. I'm sure many of you have played ball with those nonathletic yet tall guys who score/rebound so easily when parked in the paint over shorter opponents.

doesn't matter. smalls can bother bigs enough to miss some shots. and there are some athletic guys like russ who can rebound.
but on offence, the smalls pass until they get the centre on them, then isolation.
thats a GUARANTEED bucket every single time. there's no need to shoot. just drive every time. the big can't keep up.

I believe in this team.

Probably 0 honestly. Would be like High School for opposing NBA big men. Probably give up 20+ offensive rebounds a game. Defenses could play zone against bc they have no post threat. How would they guard a team on defensive? Double the post every play and give up the wild open three? Let the Guards chuck and get killed on the offensive boards? It would tough to get in transition if their opponent making every shot and getting every rebound.

I can't think of a sustainable strategy for them to get the win.

Why would they need to pass until they get a center on them? There are 5 PG's..so against a traditional team, there will always be a center on one of those PG's.

Guys like RWB/CP3 can beat their men off the dribble regardless of what position they play. I don't see them getting guaranteed buckets every single time. There's something called help defense. They can also zone up or use a box and one against a shooter like Curry.

Smalls can bother bigs sometimes, but more often than not, they're getting a bucket. Look at Hibbert..dude is a trash offensive player, yet dominated Bosh due to size alone. Lebron didn't even deter him much and you think 6 foot PG's are gonna be stopping these dudes? How is a PG going to stop an alley-oop dunk every time down the floor?

Russell can get rebounds because his big men box out, preventing other bigs from rebounding or getting good positioning. Without that, opposing bigs will get position every possession.

huh? drive everytime what if the Center plays off and gives up jumpers? What if they dont play a center but a backup athletic power forward or tall small forward that has more speed to keep up? This argument that the guards would just blow by the opposing center everytime doesn't hold water in my opinion.

It would win at most 4 games in a season. Post up every single time. Easy 2 points. So many offensive boards. This team would give up at least 60% FG% on average.

Would not be surprised if they lost every game.
