Which team has done the best job of rebuilding so far
I don't include the Wolves because they only "blew it up" last offseason and they had been trying to win with Love.
I just chose teams that I felt had been rebuilding for a while.

Pelicans literally because they have Anthony Davis.
Haven't really done a great job surrounding him.. but that's a different question.

If you've been rebuilding "for a while" then you're not doing a good job, right?

That sounds like an argument that they haven't done a good job of rebuilding. The won the lottery, selected the PBA, and ... what else?

Wolves are rebuilding way better than the Pelicans, who I believe are in this list only because they won Davis (before screwing up on Rivers and trading 3 lottery picks).
The Wolves got Wiggins by executing a great trade (despite getting Thad Young for a pick), not by winning the lottery. A lot of rookies and sophomores with potential, an eventual Top5 pick, and Rubio - who is only 24.

The T- Wolves made one great trade. i will agree they really maximized value for K Love....but they have been "rebuilding for 10 years...thats not a good job

Re: Which team has done the best job of rebuilding so far
There's a great argument for everyone and I tried putting them in an order from best to worst but it was so hard..
but here was my train of thought for each team...
Sixers - Have a DPOY candidate already in Noel, potentially the next Hakeem in Embiid, tons of picks, and a lot of nice role players who they keep giving chances and are doing will in those chances. Their coach already has the team playing with a winning attitude.
Magic - Have a great future front court who just keep improving in Dipo and Payton, have one of the best young centers in Vuce, and a bunch of other decent pieces in Harris, Harkless, Gordon, and so on.
Celtics - Have been already competing with a young team, and have a ton of picks for the future. They may have a little trouble going forward since no one really has star potential though.
Bucks - Two young lads with great star potential in Jabari and Giannis, and got potentially Kidd 2.0 in MCW, and a slew of young nice role players as well.
Jazz - Are already set SF-C with studs, a decent pick coming again, and a ton of potential in the guard rotation. Already a good defensive team.
Pelicans - They have Anthony Davis, but a completely incompetent front office. I don't see them having too nice of a future.
Kings - Same as the Pelicans but with Boogie rather than Davis. Poor stars wasting their time.
Suns - Decent team, did terrible at the trade deadline though imo. No one on their team will really develop much more other than Len, and I don't see them going that far.
Wolves - Have a great star of the future a ton of nice young players, and will likely get a top 5 pick (hopefully Okafur or Towns) and move forward with a big three of Rubio-Wiggins-Okafur/Towns and a ton of nice young role players.
Personally, I think the Bucks have the best future.

Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Re: Which team has done the best job of rebuilding so far
The Jazz are only 2 seasons removed from their last playoff appearance.
I don't know if many people realize that if the Jazz can get to .500 by the end of this season, they will have only had THREE losing seasons in the last 32 years. They went 25-57 last year, 39-43 in 2010-2011 the year Dwill was traded and Sloan stepped down, and 04-05 they were 26-56 the year they drafted Dwill. I am biased but I think Utah has great owners and are a well run organization, and I trust their rebuild.

I would have said the Bucks were potentially looking pretty good before the Trade deadline. They are the pint were they need to spend money (wisely). Will they?
Lots of votes for the Jazz, can't argue with that, a promising young team for sure.
I like what the Cs are doing but the jury is still out for sure.

No team really knocks my socks off. I admire Philly's determination to keep reloading until they draft or acquire a superstar. I like what the Bucks are doing in terms of length on defense but I think they need more time now after the Knight trade. I haven't decided how to factor in "luck" when it comes to the Jazz: if Gobert hadn't taken off, where would they be? Obviously they made the trade so credit to them, but how often do those things work out? Speaking of luck, I still chuckle at the absurd turn of events that dropped Wiggins into Minnesota's lap.
I'm not thrilled at how the Magic have rebuilt. At least they did their best in the face of some bad luck: #2 pick in the awful 2013 class, then God's team (Cleveland) bumping them out of the three top-tier picks in 2014. I think they might find themselves just outside the top-tier this year too. Anyway, I can't say for sure what the future holds until they get a real coach. They might need to make a trade at some point too.

Honestly, it was pretty lucky, Sloan (Jazz consultant now) was at his workout for the draft, and came away extremely impressed by him, and I think that is the reason for the trade.

It's usually better to ask which team has the best young core or is in the best position in the long-run. The connection between rebuilding process and results seems kind of murky to me unless you turn it into a science experiment like Philly.

Between the Bucks and the Jazz for me. The Jazz have a good team and will have another high pick but they don't have a guy that can be their number one yet or the cap space to sign that person.
The Bucks on the other hand have a crap load of great Fs, a great coach, and cap space. If they can get a decent PG in the free agnecy, Jabari comes back healthy, and they draft someone that'll be ready to play C soon they could be contenders in two, three years.

I agree...the term rebuild implies that the team was actually built at some point.....for some of these teams it has been a really long time.
