The Kings would win in a series. Who was capable of guarding Mitch Richmond on that Clippers team?

I like the '82 Knicks over the '56 Cubs myself.

The Polish Rifle

Lol, he couldn't defend Rock.

In 18 games, he averaged 20 points on 50% shooting going up against Piatkowski.

The '97 Clips had a really deep frontcourt and i always thought Loy Vaught was a very, very solid player. The Kings had the best player by far (Richmond), a pretty deep frontcourt themselves, and a few solid players (Brian Grant, Walt Williams, Polynice, etc). Kings in 6, but it would be a close series.

This was a great question. I'm glad we got to delve into it.

Actually, I think more comparisons of past borderline playoff teams squaring off is welcome.

Those Kings were tough, some brutes out there.

Best crowd Arco ever had was the first playoff game, after waiting 10-11 seasons for a shot, crowd was up standing and cheering during warmups. Was a long time coming.

To be honest I'm more of a fan of the 96' Raptors.

Any team with Corliss Williamson > The other team..

Loved that guy

(As a small forward no less) His best season was 15 & 6, shot ZERO threes, and shot 54% from the field.

Truly one of a kind type of dude

'96 Raps were solid, but they wouldn't have stood a chance against either the 1990 World Cup-champion Italian national team OR the Cullen Street Rec League 2006 under-30 Wednesday night stickball champions.
